"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”

Who is our neighbor? According to Jesus, we are ALL neighbors, regardless of race, gender, culture or beliefs. And we are called to love each other as just he loves us, unconditionally, with full and open hearts. That love is the foundation for how we should treat others, with kindness, compassion and mercy - even those who may think, love or believe differently.

Please join us this Sunday, June 7th at St. James Church at noon for our Special Needs Welcome service, when I'll be sharing the beautiful story "All Are Neighbors." I cannot think of a more important or foundational message for this time, or for our neurodivergent children to internalize - that we are ALL children of God, all neighbors, all loved EXACTLY as we are.

So, join us, if you can, in a safe, accepting space where all God's children are welcome and loved. Braden and I can't wait to see you there! 🙏🥰💙

Sometimes, what we say about ourselves is very different from what God says about us. When we make a mistake, or we feel left out, or someone is cruel to us, it can be hard to see our true identity - at least in the moment. But God knows who we are, and he has beautiful ways of describing us. He calls us chosen, loved, forgiven. He calls us his beloved children! And we can stand strong in who we are when we know what God says about us!

Please join us tomorrow, May 30 at St. James Church for our Special Needs Welcome service at noon. I'll be sharing the beautiful story What God Says About You." We'll have a fun take home lesson, too. So, join us, if you can, in a safe, accepting space where all God's children are welcome and loved! Braden and I can't wait to see all your beautiful faces! ❤ 🙏

Good morning, SNW family!

Dealing with our feelings can be hard, and it's especially difficult for children and adults with needs. This Sunday, May 24 in our Special Needs Welcome service at noon, we'll be sharing the beautiful story "I Talk To God About How I Feel." We'll be sharing that no matter what our feelings, fear, disappointment, anger, hurt, anxiety, or how overwhelming they feel, we can talk with God about them. He wants us to turn to Him and unburden ourselves, and always, in that simple action, our hearts are lightened, and our spirits lifted.

So join us for this beautiful lesson where we'll discover the calming, healing power of prayer. Afterward, we'll head over to Home Spun in Lincoln to watch for fro-yo and fellowship! Hope you can join us - Braden and I can't wait to see your beautiful faces!

Did you know that in many countries, the red poppy has become synonymous with Memorial Day and honoring fallen soldiers? This tradition has its roots in the famous poem "In Flanders Fields" by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, a Canadian physician who served in World War I.

Wishing you all a Memorial Day weekend filled with peace, reflection, and time with loved ones.

"Give your worries to the Lord, and He will take care of you." Psalm 55:22

Everyone worries, but anxiety can be especially heart-wrenching for children with special needs. Whether they fret about making mistakes, going to a new school or program, making friends, or they're simply trying to deal with sensory overload, most differently abled people struggle with anxiety from time to time, and their parents do, too!

Please join us this Sunday, May 17 at St. James Church at noon for our Special Needs Welcome Service where I'll be sharing the beautiful, reassuring storybook "When Worry Whispers." Our children will learn that no matter how big or overwhelming the problem, God is BIGGER, and He's always in control. And if we try to stay calm and talk with Him, He'll help us get through all the worries of this life- however scary they may be.

So join us, if you can, in a safe, accepting space where all God's children are welcome and loved! Braden and I can't wait to see you there!!! 🥰

Beloved, no matter what's going on in the world, one thing is certain - God's love for us is unconditional, unending and unmistakable. And living in that love and sharing it with our neighbors blesses and sustains us - even in our most difficult struggles.

Please join us this Sunday, April 26 at St. James Church at noon for our Special Needs Welcome service. We'll be sharing the beautiful story "Do You Know How Much God Loves You?" It's an inspirational story that uses nature and the beauty of the changing seasons to celebrate the vastness of God's love for each of us! A love that is bigger and wider than the deepest oceans, and stronger than the tallest mountains. We'll have a fun take home lesson, too!
Afterward, we're all going to Leatherby's for some ice cream!

NOTE TO PARENTS: I'll be taking May 3rd and May 10th off to celebrate my birthday, anniversary and Mother's Day, but I'll be back for service on May 17th. Also, we're still collecting pinto beans for our food pantry, so any donations are deeply appreciated.

So, join us if you can, in a safe, accepting space where all God's children are welcome and loved. Braden and I can't wait to see all your beautiful faces! 🥰🙏

When I talk to God every day,
there are so many things I want to say.
Each day has its own special meaning.
When I talk to God, I talk about feelings."
We all have lots of feelings, and sometimes it's difficult for children and adults with special needs to understand and share them. But God loves us, and He wants to hear about all our feelings, whether good or bad, happy or sad - even the scary ones!
Please join us at St. James Church this Sunday, April 18 for our Special Needs Welcome service at noon. We'll be sharing the tender, beautifully illustrated storybook "When I Talk to God, I Talk About Feelings". We'll learn that through the beautiful gift of prayer, God is always there to understand and guide us through our feelings.
So, join us, if you can, in a safe, accepting space where all God's children are welcome and loved. Braden and I can't wait to see you there!
NOTE TO PARENTS: We're still collecting dried pinto beans and other items for our food pantry. Thank you for your continued kindness and generosity in serving our community. 🙏❤
