Mosaic Lincoln

Mosaic Lincoln We are a collective of participants entering God’s rest as a refuge of wholeness and stability.

Through our shared relationships, worship gatherings and presence to others on tessera weekends we receive and embody Jesus’ good and beautiful presence. Mosaic Lincoln is an ecumenical, interdenominational church following Jesus in practicing rhythms of grace to bring renewal to a weary and burdened world. Our desire is to come together as a people unencumbered by the cultural and religious expec

tations of our time. Instead, we will focus on receiving and extending the grace of God. Our hope is to work together to cultivate safe spaces within our church family, our neighborhoods and our shared networks where people can lean into each other’s stories and experience the restoration of Jesus together. After all, the culmination of our story is not found in disembodied existence in some other place but in a renewal of God’s created world. Our unity as a local church is not kept through coercion to dogma as this leads to competition and unhealthy power dynamics. Our unity is kept by the power of the Holy Spirit even in the midst of our differences leading to cooperation with one another and Christ. Anyone desiring to abide with and follow Jesus is welcome to participation in our church family.

Who is Jesus? The stories in the bible paint the picture of a man who cared deeply, questioned authority, and acted with compassion. He also faced intense fear and sadness. He experienced the human condition fully.

Is it comforting to know that, whatever you're walking though, Jesus has been there too?

In times of war, we strive to remember that Jesus calls his followers to a position of lament and prayer, not a posture of approval or desire for domination over others.

Join us this Sunday (3/22) as we wrestle with more difficult questions on how to be a follower of Jesus in today's world.
