Dear JP2 Community,
I am delighted to share exciting news with you St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School has been awarded a grant from the Archdiocese of Detroit to expand our Montessori and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for the 2026β2027 school year!
When we announced the opening of our Montessori and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program in July 2025, we prayed it would be a meaningful addition to our school community. Thanks to the tremendous enthusiasm and support from families, the program has been an incredible success and has already reached full capacity for the upcoming school year. In response to this growing demand, we applied for and were blessed to receive grant funding to expand this important offering.
This exciting expansion will include the addition of a second Montessori classroom, allowing us to increase enrollment opportunities for more families seeking this beautiful foundation for their young children. Our Montessori program will serve 3 and 4 year olds, with flexible scheduling options including 4 or 5 day half-day and full day programs.
We are especially grateful for the exceptional leadership and dedication of Mrs. Tyrybon, who has done an outstanding job establishing and nurturing this program. We are thrilled that she will be returning next year to continue her wonderful work with our youngest learners. To support this growth, we have also posted a position for an additional certified Montessori teacher to work alongside her. If you know someone who may be interested, please encourage them to contact the school office or submit their information. Posting can be found on the AOD website.
Our Montessori program, paired with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, offers a uniquely beautiful beginning for children, one that nurtures independence, wonder, and joyful discovery while fostering a deep and personal relationship with Christ. The expansion of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program will allow for creation of a dedicated atrium along with training of additional staff members.
We are deeply grateful for your continued trust and support as we grow and strengthen the mission of St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School. We would like to thank the Archdiocese of Detroit for their support of our mission to offer children an education guided by truth, beauty, and goodness. St. John Paul II looks forward to continuing to form Saints in the Making for many more years to come.
Blessings,
Mrs. Melissa Manczak
