The cemetery started out as the Kyker family cemetery and was given to the church to maintain and utilize. Limestone Church of the Brethren Cemetery
Rules and Regulations
1) The Cemetery is under the jurisdiction of the Limestone Church of the Brethren Cemetery Board which approves of plots placement, regulations and resolves all other matters concerning administration.
2) Plots may be requested
by contacting the Cemetery Trust. Non-members of the Church are requested by make a plot donation upon approval. All funds received are placed in the Cemetery Trust fund which is allocated for maintenance, repairs and necessary expenses to keep the cemetery from falling into disrepairs in the future. No funds collected are attributed to the church itself and is specifically placed in the Cemetery trust.
3) All graves must have a permanent monument within one (1) year after the deceased is buried. To preserve the character of the cemetery, all monuments must have the individual DOD, DOB, and name engraved. It is requested in some areas of the cemetery stones be flat. Future monument regulations may be established by the Cemetery Board.
4) In order to properly maintain the grounds, no trees, bushes, urns or other types of permanent decorations are permitted. Permanent Statuettes, Light fixtures, Shepherd Hooks, etc) . Urns are permitted if part of the monument stone. Temporary wreaths, cut flowers, etc are permitted but may be removed for grounds maintenance. The Cemetery board assume no responsibility whatsoever for grave decorations or for their upkeep.
5) All plots are non-transferable.
6) Cleanup of old Flowers, wreaths, and grave decorations will be the responsibility of family members.
7) Grave Preparations and excavating is the responsibility of the family/funeral home and must be done by a licensed and insured company and/or individual.
8) NO co**se shall be interred/disinterred or grave dug in the cemetery, except on the authority of by Limestone Church of the Brethren Board, Limestone, Tennessee.
9) No more than one co**se shall be interred in any one grave.
