This year marks 25 years since September 11, 2001—a day our nation will never forget.

We invite you and your family to join us at Lima First Missionary Church on Saturday, September 12, at 2:00 p.m. for a special community 9/11 Memorial Service.

This community-wide event will honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and provide an opportunity for people of all ages to gather in remembrance, gratitude, and prayer.

The memorial will feature several tributes, including:

• A ceremonial es**rt by local safety service departments transporting two memorial coffins from Chiles-Laman Shawnee to Lima First Missionary Church.

• Displays featuring the names and photographs of the FDNY and NYPD heroes who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

• Honor guards from the Lima Police Department and Lima Fire Department, who will perform ceremonial honors during the service.

• A time of reflection recognizing the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of America's first responders, military personnel, and all those affected by the events of 9/11.

This is a free community gathering, and everyone is welcome. We hope you’ll join us.

Heavenly Father,

As a new school year begins, we place our teachers and students into Your hands. Give teachers patience when the days are long, wisdom when the answers are difficult, and joy in the privilege of shaping young lives.

Give students curious minds, willing hearts, and courage when they face what feels difficult or unfamiliar. Surround them with good friends, caring teachers, and people who remind them that they are known and loved.

May our schools be places of kindness, discovery, belonging, and growth. In the ordinary moments of classrooms, hallways, assignments, and conversations, help us remember that You are present and at work.

Give teachers strength for each day and students grace for each new challenge. May this year be marked not only by what is learned, but by who we become.
