☀️ Morning check-in, family! ☀️

The Bible says "this is the day the Lord has made," which means today is a brand-new, beautifully wrapped gift from God. 🎁...

Even if that gift currently looks like a toddler using the living room wall as a canvas, a mountain of laundry that has achieved self-awareness, and a coffee machine that is taking its sweet time.

Let's be honest: some days the "gift" feels a bit like receiving a pair of oversized, itchy wool socks. You’re thankful for the thought, but you're also wondering where the gift receipt is. 🧦

But seriously, every sunrise is a fresh reminder of His grace. Yesterday’s mistakes are covered, and today is blank. Let’s try to unwrap it with a little patience, a lot of love, and maybe an extra shot of espresso.

If God can part the Red Sea, He can definitely help us survive this Tuesday. 🌊🙌

Join us for Sunday Worship at 9 am.

Headline: Fellowship, Food, and Forgiveness 🥐

Church community is a beautiful thing. It is also the only place where you will see a 2-year-old and an 82-year-old having a serious, deeply emotional debate over who gets the last powdered donut during hospitality Sunday.

The Apostle Paul told us to "bear with one another." Let us be honest. He knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote that. He knew we would need grace when someone accidentally sits in our unassigned, yet deeply personal, "regular" pew. :-)

Caring for each other is not always about grand gestures. Mostly, it is found in the messy, everyday moments of sharing life together.

A few gentle ways to show love this week:
Let someone else take the closer parking spot.
Leave the last cup of coffee for the next person.
Nod encouragingly during the off-key hymns.
Remember that we are all a work in progress.

Let us sprinkle a little extra grace around today.
We are all family here!

All Welcome to Sunday Worship at 9 am.
Communion Sunday.

On Communion Sunday, we gather to share the Lord's Supper, an act of remembrance and reflection on the sacrifice of Jesus. The congregation listens to Scripture, prays, and partakes in small portions of bread and a cup of juice.

God loves you so very much that He sent Jesus to cover your sins and mine so that we can have eternal life if we believe. I'm a believer in Jesus. I believe in God the maker of all.

All welcome to join in Communion Sunday at 9 am.

Dropped Everything to Follow 🎣

When Jesus told the fishermen, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men," they didn't ask for a map or a plan. They dropped their nets and went (Matthew 4:19-20).

Following Jesus often means letting go of what is familiar to step into the unknown. It requires trust, but His plans are always greater than our comfort zones.

What "nets" is the Lord asking you to leave behind today?

Join the Westside UMC congregation for Worship Sunday morning at 9 am. It's Communion Sunday.

A Gentle Reminder for the Season ☀️🌱

Church family, as we look out the window today, it is safe to say the weather is giving us a wonderful opportunity to practice our patience! If you are trying to stay cheerful despite the forecast, here are a few gentle reminders for the week:

🌼 The Fan Fellowship: Passing a cardboard fan to someone across the pew isn't just polite—it is officially considered a modern act of service.

😎 A New Kind of Joy: If you see anyone running toward the church doors on Sunday, they might not be early for prayer. They are likely just chasing the air conditioning.

🙏 Simple Graces: Remembering to thank the church volunteers who set up the iced coffee station is an excellent way to show the fruits of the spirit today.

💁‍♂ A Changed Routine: Our standard church hugs might turn into quick, polite elbow taps for the next few weeks. We still love you, we are all just trying to stay cool!

Whether you are seeking shade or just looking forward to the autumn breeze, let’s remember to give each other a little extra grace today. ☀️🌱

Enjoy your day, stay hydrated, and take comfort in knowing who holds the thermostat of the universe!

4. Worship Sundays at 9 am.
5. Upper Room Gathering Wednesday at 9 am.
6. Leadership Team Meeting June 15th at 7:30 pm.
7. Family Promise Dinner on June 18th.
8. During Communion on June 14th.
9. At the grocery store.
10. Pumping gas.
11. Watching your grandchildren in their sports activities.
12. Attending graduation parties.
13. While camping.
14. On a roller coater.
15. Driving across country.
16. At the symphony.
17. Splashing in the pool.
18. Visiting a nursing home.
19. While the fireworks are lighting up the sky.
20. **You name it!**

Everywhere we go, ministry happens because YOU represent JESUS to those around you. Walk like Jesus. Talk like Jesus. Share like Jesus. You are so greatly loved. Let your little light shine.

God loves you, and you, and you!

This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24

☀️ No matter what this week throws our way, we can choose joy.

Our circumstances change, but God’s faithfulness never does.
Let's shift our focus from our problems to His promises today.

What are you praising God for this morning?

🐑 "Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep." — Luke 15:6
We often picture the Parables of the Lost Sheep and Lost Coin as peaceful, but the reality is actually a bit chaotic.

Think about the sheer determination in these stories:

*One sheep wanders off into trouble, and the Shepherd leaves the entire flock to go hunting through the wilderness.

*A woman tears her house apart, flipping furniture and sweeping every corner, just for one small coin.

It is a bit humorous how much effort goes into finding things that are so prone to getting lost. Yet, that is exactly how God pursues us.

We wander into foolish situations, and we lose our way in the dark. Still, God values us so much that He flips the world upside down to bring us home. He cares about the individual, not just the crowd.

If you feel lost or hidden today, remember that you have a Shepherd who refuses to give up the search.
