Remember playing hide-and-seek for hours until the streetlights came on? Or building blanket forts to stay safe from imaginary monsters? When we were kids, our adventures were just about having fun.
But looking back now, it is beautiful to see how those childhood moments were actually preparing us for a lifelong walk with Jesus.
πΆββοΈ The hiding places taught us what it feels like to seek a safe refuge, pointing us to the One who is our ultimate hiding place and shield (Psalm 119:114).
πΆββοΈβ The scraped knees from learning to ride a bike taught us about resilience, showing us that falling down is just part of learning to trust the hand that picks us up.
π¨β𦽠The getting lost in the woods behind the house taught us the pure relief of finding the path home, mirroring the way the Good Shepherd always finds us when we wander.
God never wastes a single moment of our lives. Those innocent days of wonder and exploring were quietly shaping our hearts to understand His protection, His guidance, and His grace. The wild adventures of our youth were just the first chapters of a lifetime spent leaning on Him.
