☔ SUMMER TOUR WEATHER UPDATE ☔
Unfortunately, due to the unpredictable rain forecast tonight, we are canceling our final Summer Tour stop at Ottawa Metro Park!

Sunday Morning: We meet every Sunday at 10:00 AM! We'd love to see you there!

☀️ SUMMER TOUR FINAL STOP! ☀️
We are wrapping up our summer tour this Wednesday, August 19, and you won't want to miss our final stop out at Ottawa Metro Park! We'll be hanging out from 6:00–8:00 PM with slip-and-slide kickball, food, and plenty of fun to celebrate the end of an incredible summer.

🚐 Transportation & Timing:
Vans Leave LBT: 5:30 PM
Event Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Return to LBT: 8:30 PM

⚡ Weather Update Note: We are tracking the potential for thunderstorms on Wednesday evening. We will make a final decision around lunchtime on Wednesday regarding the weather. If rain or storms cancel our park setup, MDWK will be canceled for the week.

Rain couldn’t stop what God was doing at our Student Summer Retreat! 🌧️🙌🔥

Our students rolled up their sleeves and showed up in big ways to love and serve our community. From serving at Our Daily Bread, Family Promise, and TCS, to picking up trash along Brower Rd, visiting our friends in the Pathfinders class at LBT, and spending sweet time with our shut-ins...they lived out what it truly means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. 💛

Of course, we had to celebrate hard, too! We rocked out capture the flag in the dark, bounced into high gear at Hero Day and capped off an unforgettable week with a cookout and swimming! 🍔🏊‍♂️

More than anything, we leaned deep into truth: worship isn’t just singing songs in church...it’s a daily response to living for Jesus. His name brings FREEDOM, draws near in every single moment, and calls us to reflect His light to the world. 💡✨

So proud of every student who came ready to serve, connect, and grow!
The light of Jesus is shining bright in this generation!

Summer Tour Rolls on!
We are so excited to head to the Gertens home this week for another great night of MDWK! We love these nights together, and we appreciate your help in keeping things running smoothly, safely, and respectfully! They have a pool as well as a pond you can fish (weather permitting)...so if you plan on swimming, plan on bringing a towel/change of clothes!!

Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

🚐 Transportation Info
Riding the Vans: Vans depart LBT at 5:30 PM and return at 9:30 PM.

⚠️ Drop-off Note: If you are riding the vans, please do not arrive before 5:15 PM. Waiting until 5:15 PM ensures that our adult leadership team is fully on-site and present before students are dropped off.

🚗 Driving Directly?
To help us be excellent guests, please do not arrive at the Gertens home early, and please plan to depart at 9:00 PM (when our van's leave). We want to be incredibly mindful of their hospitality and time!

Weather Outlook:
If it is rainy out - Summer Tour will still happen! If the weather is bad, we will shorten our stay to be from 6:00-8:00 PM instead of 9:00 PM. Swimming will NOT be affected by the rain!
