We all want God's guidance, wisdom, and direction. But what happens when God's voice leads us somewhere we don't want to go? What if the challenge isn't hearing Him, but obeying Him when it's difficult?
As we continue our Summer in Samuel series, we find Samuel facing a hard assignment from God. The people of Israel have already made up their minds—they want a king, even though God has warned them of the consequences. In 1 Samuel 8, we discover that obedience is not about controlling outcomes but remaining faithful to God's voice, even when others refuse to listen.
Today we explore what it means to trust and follow God when obedience is uncomfortable. Together, we'll see how God formed Samuel through faithful obedience and how He continues to shape His people into disciples who follow Him above every competing voice.
