As we celebrate 85 years of service to Lima and the Allen County area, we want to thank you for your continued support in making Memorial Park a symbol of pride in our community. Being a full-service operation, we provide all forms of burial arrangements as well as merchandise, including caskets, vaults, urns and permanent memorials. We understand that a family wants options, and our caring staff

is willing to help explain what is available to you. Memorial Park Cemetery is a nonprofit, perpetually-funded organization serving all faiths. Our Park offers a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, spread across 60 beautifully landscaped acres, next to the Allen County Fairgrounds on Harding Hwy/St. If you should have any questions, please stop by our office located inside the Cemetery grounds, or call us at 419-223-3811 to learn more about your potential savings and peace-of-mind arrangements that can be made with us.

Anyone that is interested in a grounds maintenance position, enjoys working outdoors and likes to have the weekends off, we have the perfect job for you!

The hours are 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday, starting at $11.50/hour. Employee must have reliable transportation. Please reply or stop by our office, located inside the Cemetery, at 3000 Harding Hwy. in Lima, OH (Next to the fairgrounds) and fill out an application.

Our Committal Chapel, or outside pavilion building, is commonly used for ground burial services. This building offers accommodations such as both hearse and limousine being under one roof, folding chairs for immediate family, displayed casket or urn as well as the burial vault, ceiling heaters, electricity, and ramps for the handicap. Following the service, we then seal the casket and vault in the clean, dry environment

Our Chapel Mausoleum is commonly used for mausoleum services with entombment to follow. This building offers heating and air conditioning, lighting, music, elegant church cart for the casket to be displayed on, flower stands, easels, chairs and couches for immediate family, and is handicap accessible. For a nominal fee, families may use this to hold a ground burial service. Also, if families would like to utilize this building for a formal sit-down service or public viewing with a funeral director present, arrangements may be made with us. Tell us about yourself!

This is Rob, one of our Groundskeepers. He grew up in Springfield, Ohio and moved to Lima in 2007. Rob is married and has 4 children. Rob enjoys doing the outdoors, especially walking the trails with his kids.

How long have you been at MPC?

Rob has been here at MPC for 2 years.

What is the most fulfilling part of your job?

The most fulfilling part of my job is working outdoors.

What is something unique about you (a fun fact) that few people are aware of?

I am ambidextrous.

What are some of your hobbies?

Some of my hobbies are listening to music, hanging out with friends and family, and playing pool and darts.

What part of the cemetery is your favorite?

My favorite part of the cemetery is Section 9 because it is secluded and quiet.

Tell us about yourself!

This is Trey, our Grounds Co-Supervisor. He grew up in Bluffton, Ohio and graduated from there. He moved to Lima in 2018. Trey has one daughter, one dog and one cat. I enjoy working outdoors, cruising around and listening to music.

How long have you been at MPC?

Trey has been here 5 years.

What is the most fulfilling part of your job?

The most fulfilling part of my job is helping families find their markers, cleaning the markers and making them look good and being there for the family during services.

What is something unique about you (a fun fact) that few people are aware of?

I enjoy working and I’m very charming.

What are some of your hobbies?

Some of my hobbies are competing in car shows, and buying and selling things from auctions.

What part of the cemetery is your favorite?

My favorite part of the cemetery is the Chapel Islands, because it is the first thing people see when they come into the cemetery.
