It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Deacon Tommie Campbell Sr., beloved husband of our Pastor.
While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
We ask that our church family and community continue to keep the Campbell family, our Pastor, and all those who loved Deacon Campbell lifted in prayer during this difficult time.
May God provide them with strength, comfort, and peace as they mourn his passing and celebrate his life and legacy.

Tommie Arnold Campbell, 81, of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 2pm at Victory Tabernacle in Lillington. Burial will follow in Refuge Tabernacle Memorial Gardens in Lillington.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara M. Campbell. Daughters, Bonita Campbell of Lillington, Sheila Hill of Linden and Tiffany Campbell-Jones of Fayetteville. Sons, Rodney Cox of Lillington, Tony Campbell of Linden and Michael Campbell of Bunnlevel. Siblings, Helen Thrower of Richmond, VA, Terry Campbell and Vivian McDougald, both of Lillington, along with fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday from1-2pm, prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at 8600 NC 27West in Lillington 4-9pm.
