Hymn 457“Come, Thou Fount of
 Every Blessing”

Hymn 459 “I Am Not Skilled to Understand”

Confession of Sin-Psalm 19:12

Who perceives his unintentional sins? Cleanse me from my hidden faults.

Assurance of Grace- 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Praise Song “Before the Throne of God Above”

Before the throne of God above, I have a strong and perfect plea: a great High Priest whose name is Love, whoever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands, My name is written on His heart. I know that while in heav’n He stands, no tongue can bid me thence depart;
no tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair, and tells me of the guilt within, upward I look and see Him there, who made an end of all my sin. Because the sinless Savior died, my sinful soul is counted free. For God, the Just, is satisfied to look on Him and pardon me; to look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there, the risen Lamb! My perfect, spotless Righteousness, the great unchangeable I AM, the King of glory and of grace. One with Himself, I cannot die; my soul is purchased by His blood. My life is hid with Christ on high, with Christ, my Savior and my God; with Christ, my Savior and my God.

Religion #29

The Son, which is the Word of the Father, begotten from everlasting of the Father, the true and eternal God—of one substance with the Father—took man's nature in the womb of the blessed Virgin, of her substance, so that two whole and perfect natures—that is to say, the Godhead and manhood—were inseparably joined in one person, making one Christ very God and very man.

Bind us together, Lord, bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken.

Bind us together with love.
Confession of Faith - Westminster Larger Catechism Question and Answers 9-11

Q. How many persons are there in the Godhead?

A. There are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one true, eternal God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory; although distinguished by their personal properties.

Q. What are the personal properties of the three persons in the Godhead?

A. It is proper to the Father to beget the Son, and to the Son to be begotten of the Father, and to the Holy Ghost to proceed from the Father and the Son from all eternity.

Q. How doth it appear that the Son and the Holy Spirit are God equal with the Father?

A. The Scriptures manifest that the Son and the Holy Spirit are God equal with the Father, ascribing unto them such names, attributes, works, and worship, as are proper to God only.

The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth.

Praise Song – “He Looked Beyond My Fault
{and Saw My Need}”

Amazing Grace will always be my song of praise,
For it was grace that brought my liberty;
I do not know just why He came to love me so,
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary,
To view the cross where Jesus died for me;
How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul! He Looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

Confession of Faith - Westminster Confession of Faith Chapter VIII - Of Christ the Mediator

I. It pleased God, in His eternal purpose, to choose and ordain the Lord Jesus, His only begotten Son, to be the Mediator between God and man; the Prophet, Priest, and King, the Head and Savior of His Church, the Heir of all things, and Judge of the world: unto whom He did from all eternity give a people, to be His seed, and to be by Him in time redeemed, called, justified, sanctified, and glorified.

Assurance of Grace - Romans 5:1

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise Song – “Meekness and Majesty”

Meekness and majesty, manhood and deity,
In perfect harmony - the Man who is God;
Lord of eternity, dwells in humanity,
Kneels in humility, and washes our feet.

O what a mystery, meekness and majesty;
Bow down and worship, for this is your God!

Father's pure radiance, perfect in innocence,
Yet learns obedience to death on a cross;
Suffering to give us life, conquering through sacrifice - and as they crucify, prays:
‘Father forgive’.

O what a mystery, meekness and majesty;
Bow down and worship, for this is your God!

Wisdom unsearchable, God the invisible,
Love indestructible in frailty appears;
Lord of infinity, stooping so tenderly,
Lifts our humanity, to the heights of His throne.

O what a mystery, meekness and majesty
Bow down and worship, for this is your God!

Confession of Faith - Heidelberg Catechism Question & Answer #21

Q. What is true faith?

A. True faith is a sure knowledge whereby I accept as true all that God has revealed to us in His Word.

At the same time, it is a firm confidence that not only to others, but also to me, God has granted forgiveness of sins, everlasting righteousness, and salvation, out of mere grace, only for the sake of Christ's merits. This faith the Holy Spirit works in my heart by the gospel.
