Olivet United Methodist Church - Lilesville, NC Olivet United Methodist Church, established March 27, 1843, is located in Lilesville, NC. Our pastor is Rev. Norman E Jones, Jr. Catch the Spirit!

Olivet is part of the Lilesville United Methodist Charge along with Forestville United Methodist Church, Lilesville United Methodist Church, and Savannah United Methodist Church - all located in Lilesville. Worship service is at 9:45am with Sunday School at 10:50. Olivet's choir practices each Wednesday night at 7pm in the sanctuary. The administrative council meets the first Wednesday of each mon

th at 6:30pm in the sanctuary. The churches United Methodist Women meet the second Sunday of each month at 3pm in the Fellowship Hall. Charge-wide youth meetings are held at 6pm on the second and fourth Sundays of each month (meeting location rotates, but meetings are currently at Olivet). Light refreshments are served at 6pm. An Invitation from our church - To all who are weary and need rest; to all who are lonely and desire companionship; to all who mourn and want comfort; to all who sin and need a Savior; and whosoever will come, this church opens wide its doors. While we hate not to meet in person two straight weeks, the snow and extreme cold will prevent that tomorrow as our goal is to keep everyone safe!♥️🤗

We are excited to begin again with a Covenant Service during worship this coming Sunday, Jan. 4th☀️Join us for re-connecting, and
re-centering Christ in our lives!
⛪️Worship at Olivet- 9:45am
⛪️Worship at Forestville- 11am

At the beginning of a new year, many United Methodists renew their covenant with God with a Covenant Service and a recitation of the Wesley Covenant Prayer--a prayer which John Wesley adapted from the Puritan tradition.

The prayer invites us to rededicate our lives to serving as Jesus' representatives in the world. It invites us into participating in self-emptying love.

May the words inspire you and your spiritual journey in the new year. Blessings and Happy New Year.
