God’s Word in Every Pocket Across North Africa

In regions of North Africa where trained preachers and Bible teachers are scarce, and where internet and electricity is unreliable, a simple micro-SD card is changing lives.

These cards are packed with an audio Bible in Modern Standard Arabic and local dialects, training courses, practical preaching, and tools like the Jesus Film. They work completely offline on locally available phones and computers.

One minister, “AG,” shared how receiving a card transformed his study and his home:
“The audio Bible has helped me listen to God’s Word regularly. It has also helped me learn to read correctly and pronounce biblical verses accurately.”

He now uses times of rest to listen and reflect instead of wasting them on things that are not beneficial. His entire family gathers around a portable player to hear Scripture together, helping them grow in fellowship and faith.

“This gift is very, very valuable to me and my family. I sincerely thank you for providing it. May the Lord bless you abundantly.”

God is placing His Word directly into the hands of leaders and families who need it most.

Bold Faith in Cambodia!

Praise the Lord! We shared the gospel with 160 adults and 20 children across two villages. What made this day unforgettable was the way people prayed. They did not simply repeat a salvation prayer. From their hearts they brought their own personal requests to the Lord.

During the first altar call in Tapov, one woman stood up alone and boldly declared, “If no one else wants to receive Jesus, I will receive Him alone!” Her courage stirred others. One by one, more people stood to accept Christ.

As we drove away, a woman in flip flops ran after our car and stopped us. She eagerly asked if any Jesus storybooks were left so her son could read them. This is her in the photo.

“I want to be like Ruth, but my mother-in-law is not like Naomi. Please pray for me.”

Anita led a one-day seminar called “The Harvest of Grace,” drawing powerful lessons from the Book of Ruth. Participants were reminded that God can bring hope even in seasons of uncertainty and difficult relationships.

At the end of the seminar, a young woman courageously approached Anita. Living in a joint family with her in-laws, she shared the challenges she faces with her mother-in-law. With emotion she said, “I want to be like Ruth, but my mother-in-law is not like Naomi. Please pray for me.”

Her words revealed the quiet struggles many women carry. Yet Ruth’s story reminded this young woman that she does not walk alone. Ruth stayed faithful, humble, and committed even when life was hard, and God turned her hardship into a story of redemption, belonging, and blessing.

Anita encouraged her that while she cannot control how others respond, she can choose to remain faithful to God, respond with grace, and trust Him to work in her family. What began as a Bible lesson became a safe place where a young woman could share her burden and leave with prayer, encouragement, and renewed hope.

Please pray for healing and restoration in her family, for wisdom and patience, and for softened hearts. Pray that her life becomes a testimony of the God who brings peace and restoration into homes today.

Women Strengthened at AFCI 3-Day Seminar in Nigeria!

From August 26 to 28, women from neighboring communities and nearby churches gathered for an AFCI Women’s 3-Day Seminar. It was a time of biblical teaching, encouragement, reflection, and rich fellowship.

Sister Serah Olushola, AFCI Women’s Coordinator, taught from the lives of Sarah, Hannah, and the virtuous woman. The women were encouraged to trust God in hard times, remain steadfast in faith, and to seek godly wisdom for the challenges they face.

Many shared that they left encouraged, strengthened, and renewed by God’s Word. Several openly spoke about personal struggles in their homes and received biblical counsel and prayer. Even after the seminar ended, women continued seeking personal guidance showing how deeply the teaching had touched their lives.

“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” Proverbs 31:10

Please pray as these women return to their homes and communities. Ask our Father to strengthen them as they courageously live out the truth from God’s Word.

First-Time Gospel Outreach Reaches a New Village in Cambodia!

Praise the Lord! God opened doors to a brand-new village in Samraong district, Takéo province, south of Phnom Penh near the Vietnam border.

In the front yard of a local homeowner, the team shared the Gospel. Over sixty elderly people responded to the altar call! Both the homeowner and the pastor were amazed. They said this was the first time the church had ever reached this village through this kind of Gospel outreach. As Cambodia highly respects their elders, this is an amazing opportunity for future influence to younger generations.

Many Bibles were placed into the hands of those who did not have one. Praise the Lord!

What a powerful reminder that God is still making a way where there was none before! Will you pray for these new believers and for continued open doors across Cambodia?

This month something truly special took place. We held a family camp where several refugee couples found a place of rest and renewal. Some shared that it was the most wonderful experience they had known since the war forced them from their homes.
The program included biblical teaching on marriage, rich Christian fellowship, and moments of recreation that felt beyond imagination after so much hardship. God used these days to refresh weary hearts and strengthen marriages under pressure.

Both start with simple invitations, shared tables, and patient planting of seeds.

On Sunday afternoon, Bruce and Trudy Dick hosted their 2nd annual Corn and Ice Cream Neighborhood invite. Trudy walked the neighborhood with invite cards, and for two hours neighbors dropped by anytime. They sat around the fire, picked fresh corn on the cob, and enjoyed ice cream treats together. What does this have to do with a spiritual harvest?

This year Bruce and Trudy gently extended another invitation… to explore Jesus in the Bible for 6-7 weeks this fall. They kept it low-key and a few neighbors signed up with real interest.

Just like corn needs planting and careful tending, hearts need open doors and genuine relationships. Just as a seed grows into a harvest, we are praying for a harvest of new life this fall.

Catastrophic flash floods have devastated communities along the Nepal-China border, claiming hundreds of lives with more than a thousand still missing. Families are searching for loved ones, rescue teams are working tirelessly, and many remain in urgent need of help and hope.

Will you stand with us and pray for the people of Nepal?

Pray for comfort for the grieving, strength for the rescuers, protection for those still at risk, and that Christ would be made known, even in this tragedy.

During a ten-day outreach in Karachi, AFCI Pakistan team member Rukhsar preached in churches, encouraged believers, and taught young people from Colossians about making Christ central in their lives.

But two simple encounters captured something especially powerful.
After hearing Rukhsar share how God had called and prepared him for ministry, a young man named Yeshwa approached him and said excitedly, “I will become a pastor like you.”

At another church, a mother brought her young son, Abrash, forward and asked Rukhsar to pray for him. When Rukhsar asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, Abrash answered without hesitation: “I want to become a pastor.”

We don't know what God has planned for these two young lives. But we are reminded that faithful ministry reaches beyond today. Through biblical teaching, testimony, prayer, and godly example, God can plant seeds that may bear fruit for generations.

Please pray for Rukhsar as he begins serving with the AFCI Pakistan national team—that God will equip and use him to proclaim His Word, disciple others, and raise up future servants of Christ.
