đź“… Today is June 1st, and it marks the beginning of Men's Health Month.
This is a month that often doesn't get the attention it deserves.
The truth is that men's health, especially men's mental health, is facing a crisis. Men account for nearly 80% of all su***de deaths in the United States, and they are far less likely than women to seek professional help when they are struggling. Many men suffer in silence, carrying burdens they were never meant to carry alone. (Mental Health Stats)
At Restart Community Church, we believe God calls us to be strong men. But strength isn't just about muscles, income, or toughness.
A healthy man is mentally healthy.A healthy man is spiritually healthy.A healthy man is physically healthy.
None of those areas can be ignored.
Throughout the month of June, we'll be posting every Monday about men's mental health. We want to start conversations, break down stigma, and remind men that asking for help is not weakness. It takes courage.
This week's challenge:
Reach out to one man this week. Ask him how he's really doing. Not the "I'm fine" answer. Take a few minutes and have a real conversation.
Stronger minds.Stronger faith.Stronger bodies.Stronger families.
Let's make June a month where we stop pretending everything is okay and start caring for one another the way God intended.
