Yesterday we celebrated an incredible milestone as we honored Mrs. Jeannie Gayle Anderson on her retirement after 40 years of dedicated service to Amite School Center!

For four decades, Mrs. Jeannie Gayle has faithfully served our students, staff, and families as a cafeteria worker, always greeting everyone with kindness, love, and a warm smile. Her hard work and caring spirit have touched countless lives, and she has truly been a special part of the ASC family.

Thank you, Mrs. Jeannie Gayle, for your years of commitment, your servant’s heart, and the love you poured into generations of Rebels. You will be deeply missed, but your impact will never be forgotten.

Congratulations on your retirement - may this next chapter be filled with joy, rest, and many blessings!

Friday was a special moment for our seniors as they took their final cap and gown walkthrough down the hallways. Watching them walk those halls one last time was a powerful reminder of how far they’ve come.

We also celebrated with our final Big Reb/Little Reb farewell party - full of smiles, memories, and a few bittersweet moments. The bonds built here will last a lifetime.

Mrs. Nicole’s 2nd grade class had an unforgettable experience on their field trip to Insta-Gator Hatchery & Ranch! The students had a great time learning about Louisiana’s alligator conservation efforts and discovering how those practices have evolved over the years. One of the highlights of the trip was the hands-on opportunity to safely catch baby alligators. It was an experience both the students and Mrs. Nicole truly enjoyed! 🐊
