“ First Lady’s Corner “
I Dare You
How many of us have gotten into trouble or suffered the consequences of some foolish action simply because someone dared, or challenged, us to do something we knew, deep down, we shouldn’t be doing. Like daring someone to jump out of a hay loft. I’m not sure Floyd has ever forgiven me for daring him to do that. You would think he would be great full that all he did was break his leg. But, no, he had to get mad at me! When we dare someone to do something, we are, in essence, saying, “Prove that you’re man/women enough to do this thing.” So, based on that thought. Let me challenge you, or dare you!
I dare you to spend more time reading God’s word than the daily newspaper.
I dare you to face your doubts and conquer them.
I dare you to brave the snickers of your friends and live a life that will enable you to set a positive example before others.
I dare you to challenge your friends to live up to a higher standard of living.
I dare you to take Christ with you into the classroom, office and workroom.
I dare you to tell the truth in Love whenever you speak.
I dare you to be honest with yourself and evaluate the way you spend your leisure time in the light of your love for Christ.
I dare you to be courageous and willing to accept criticism by trying to start some be form of Christian ministry.
I dare you to throw your whole soul into the worship of God every time you meet for that purpose.
I dare you to work half as hard to win people to Christ as you work for your business or employer.
I dare you to act as if you believe that Jesus is the Christ!
For His Cause,
Tim Woodward
