Senior adults, please join us today at 1:00 for Coffee & Conversation. It's the first meeting of the summer that is outside at Clara Howerton's home. You can find her address on The Hub or call the church office.

We meet on the first Monday of the month at 10 a.m. and the third Monday of the month at 1 p.m. During the summer, we meet outside at Clara Howerton’s home.

Bring your coffee cup and a lawn chair, and we’ll provide the donuts and treats!

Looking for a Sunday morning Bible study for the summer? The Potter’s Wheel class is hosting a five-week study about the book, “The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry” by John Mark Comer. Everyone is invited to join them for the study. If you missed the first week, that's okay! Please join us this Sunday.

The study will be video-based and inspired by the book, but no reading is required. Participants will examine the life of Jesus as our guide to a life released from distraction, busyness, and burnout. Video links will be available if you miss a week.

What: The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: How to Stay Emotionally Healthy and Spiritually Alive in the Chaos of the Modern World
When: Sunday mornings, 9:45-10:45. June 7, 14, 21, 28 and July 5.

As conversations about Baptists and female clergy continue in the news, we at Second Baptist want to affirm our support for women in ministry — here at 2BC and everywhere. We have a long history of supporting women in ministry and have ordained many women pastors. Many women serve in our deacon ministry and throughout our church community, and four women have served as pastoral residents. We currently have three female pastors on our staff: Jana Atkinson, Angie Fuller, and Alena Vaughn-Booth.

We are thankful for all the women who have served at 2BC and those who are ministering among us today. Second Baptist would not be the same without their leadership and service. At Second Baptist Church, we follow the way of Christ—welcoming first, loving fully, making space for all.
