Melissa Huff Obituary
Melissa Gail Huff, 56, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, September 28, 2026 at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington

She was born December 4, 1969 and was preceded in death by her father, Lemuel “Buck” Robertson. She attended White’s Chapel Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kay Robertson and Sandra Shirley

Survivors include:

Her mother – Eva Vibbert Robertson of Greensburg

Her husband – Billy Joe Huff of Columbia

One daughter – Debbie Fowler (Josh) of Hodgenville

Two sons – B. J. Huff (Tasha) and Obra Huff (Emily Melson) all of Columbia

Six grandchildren – Olivia Young (Ethan), Cameron Huff, Wyatt Melson, Jayden Huff, Maverick Fowler and Nora Fowler

Funeral service – Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Bailey officiating

Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery in Green County

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. Thursday

Casket Bearers – Woody Bennett, Bobby Jr. Vibbert, J.R. Poynter, Josh Fowler, Cameron Huff, Barry Stephens

Bro Joe read the Devotion from Matthew 24.
Sunday school, Bro. Mark taught on Nehemiah 3.
We had no preacher this morning, but we do have a Bro. Mark 😁 ( Sunday School Teacher). He is such a blessing to the church.
Bro. Mark expressed his thoughts on the word Hope.
Put our trust and hope in God.
We went over some scriptures reference's to hope.

Proverbs 13;12
Proverbs 14;32
Proverbs 26;12
Ecclesiastes 9;4

Bro. Joe read the Devotion from l Thessalonians 3; 7-14 also chapter 4.
Sunday school, Bro. Mark taught from Nehemiah 2. Ask God and let Him take care of things.
The Message... Bro. Gabe read John 4 and stressed on verse 24 as his thought.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
If Jesus had to be in the truth and spirit, so do we.
If we are living in the truth and spirit...
Let's get busy!
There's a requirement in the truth and spirit, it's to stay in it... Stand on it.
If we don't have the spirit and truth, the world will see it.
We all are called in the spirit and truth.
When the Lord calls on us to talk to someone or do something say.....
Here I am Lord, Send me.

Bro. Rick Hogue preached from ll Peter 1; 3-8, also referred to Romans 8; 24 & 25, John 14; 1, Let not your heart be troubled, Isaiah 41; 10 I am thy God, l Corinthians 15;19, ll Corinthians 13; 3, Colossians1; 23.
He ask us to read Ezekiel 34 later.
Realize who you are and where your at with the Lord.
Do we believe or not.
Call upon God, all you have to do is ask.
We appreciate Bro. Rick coming and sharing the message with us.

Sunday morning devotion was read by
Bro. Joe from ll Corinthians chapter 5.
Sunday School, Bro. Mark taught from Ezra chapters 9 & 10. Ezra grieves because of the people who had mingled with the people of the land for they were wicked.
We have to be willing to obey God and separate ourselves from evil.
As Christians we need to unite together from time to time to support one another and hear God's Word.
Bro. Gabe preached from Acts 21 1-14 & l John chapter 1.
The way we walk will tell on us, weather we're walking in the light or in the darkness.
God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

Love all my Christian Family, Praying all has a Awesome week.

23 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The Devotion was read from Psalms 126, 127 & 128 by Bro. Joe Cooper.
Sunday school, Bro. Mark Atwood taught Be willing to follow God's plan.
ll Chronicles 18.
The message, Bro. Jonathan Oaks read and preached from
Isaiah 29; 13-15
Ezekiel 33; 30-33
Matthew 15; 7-9
Mark 7; 6-7
It's not about the sign above the church building door. There's only 1 denomination and that's The Children of God.
Don't follow people, follow the Lord, and know lip service isn't going to cut it. It's about faith and works. Not just works.
Bro. Jonathan ask us to read Colossians 3; 23-25 as we were dismissed.
Colossians 3:23 - And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 - Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25- But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
We want to thank Bro. Jonathan and his family for coming and sharing God's Word with us, and also the beautiful song his wife sang.
