Rose Ella Franklin, 88 of Liberty passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. She was born on April 15, 1937 in Sextons Creek, Kentucky to George Clark and Beulah Gentry Clark. She was the second oldest of 15 children.

On March 27, 1965 she married Jackie “Jack” Franklin in Liberty. They were blessed with three children.

Rose has been a faithful member of Liberty Church of Nazarene since 1980. She was the church secretary for many years, was a board member and helped with Vacation Bible School every year. Rose devoted her life to the church.

In the early 1960s, Rose worked in food service through Union County. Most of her life she devoted her time babysitting children.

You could often find Rose supporting her grandchildren watching them play sports. For many years she enjoyed bowling and was on a league in the surrounding counties. In the early to late 70s and 80s, Rose and a group of ladies every Sunday would go to the radio station in Connersville and sing on the live broadcast. Most importantly Rose cherished her time spent as a wife, mother and grandmother.

Rose was survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jack; her children, Rosanna (Danny) Richardson, Tammy (Greg) Hofer and Rick Franklin; her grandchildren, Josh, Jennifer, Jess, Austin, Erica, Adam, Krista and Shane; her great grandchildren, Cole, Casey, Emma, Colten, Addison, Lainey, Parker, Jackson, Cooper and Cora; and her sister in law and lifelong friend, Linda Franklin.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Rocky Williams; and a brother, Eugene Clark.

Visitation for Rose will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Liberty Church of Nazarene, 220 W. High St., Liberty. The funeral service for Rose will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeff Adams officiating. Burial will follow in West Point Cemetery.
