God used a communication breakdown in Genesis 11 to thwart the work of Satan.
And that is exactly what Satan uses to hinder the work of God.
Failure to properly communicate is the source of many marriage problems, family issues, and church drama.
Learn to listen.
Learn to communicate.
Don’t be vague and ambiguous.
Speak clearly and deliberately.
Stop assuming.
Stop guessing, and stop being afraid to ask for clarity if you are unsure.
Communication breakdowns are avoidable!
Communication breakdowns are divisive!

1 Corinthians 1:10 “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”

1 Corinthians 14:33 “‭For‭ God‭ is‭‭ not‭ ‭the author‭ of ‭confusion‭‭, but‭ of peace‭, as‭ in‭ all‭ churches‭ of the saints‭.‭”

How Can You Pray for Your Pastor? 🙏🏻

Behind every faithful pastor is a praying church!

The stronger the prayers..the stronger the pulpit.

How can you pray?

1️⃣ Pray for his walk with God

(That his private devotion would be deeper than his public ministry.)

2️⃣ Pray for clarity and boldness as he studies and preaches the Word.

3️⃣ Pray for wisdom in decisions you will never see or fully understand.

4️⃣ Pray for protection over his heart, mind, and home.

5️⃣ Pray for his family.

(They serve alongside him more than most realize.)

6️⃣ Pray for strength when criticism is loud and encouragement is quiet.

7️⃣ Pray for humility in success and faithfulness in difficulty.

8️⃣ Pray that he would finish well..steady, sound, and still in love with Jesus.

A prayed for pastor is a guarded pastor.

And a guarded pastor is a gift to a church.

How to Get “Plugged In” to Your Church ⚡️⛪️

Churches don’t thrive on spectators.

They grow through committed believers who show up, serve faithfully, and love people well.

Here’s some tips:

1️⃣ Attend Faithfully

Consistent attendance puts you under the preaching of the Word, among God’s people, and in the flow of church life.
Sporadic attendance produces shallow connection every time.

2️⃣ Join a Small Group or Class

Sunday worship gathers the crowd; smaller settings build the church. Whether it’s a Sunday School class, Bible study, or discipleship group, this is where names are learned, burdens are shared, and growth happens.

As the church grows larger, it has to fight to stay smaller through classes and groups. Get plugged in!

3️⃣ Serve Somewhere…Anywhere!

You don’t need a title.
Greeters, nursery workers, tech teams, cleaning crews, youth helpers…EVERY MINISTRY MATTERS.

Serving connects your hands to the mission and your heart to the people.

Waiting to be “asked” is usually just spiritual procrastination.

4️⃣ Get to Know Your Pastor and Leaders

You don’t need to be best friends, but you should be known.

Introduce yourself. Shake a hand. Say thank you for the Word. God uses shepherds, and sheep flourish when relationships are real.

5️⃣ Commit, Don’t Consume

Church is not a spiritual buffet. It’s a body. Consumers critique; members contribute.

When you commit, you stop asking, “What can I get?” and start asking, “How can I help?”

That shift changes everything.

6️⃣ Pray for Your Church

Nothing plugs you in faster than prayer.
Pray for unity.
Pray for holiness.
Pray for souls.
When you pray for your church, God ties your heart to its future.

If you treat church like an event, you’ll stay disconnected.
If you treat it like a family, you’ll find your place.

Plugging in at a church is all about faithfulness.

Start where you are.

Serve where you can.

Stay for the long haul.

See you Sunday!

Dwight L. Moody once stated, "I have never yet known the Spirit of God to work where the Lord's people were divided."

You can have church without a preacher but you can’t have church without unity. For God to bless the church, there must be unity.

Christ calls for the church to be bound together in unity.

Philippians 2:2-4 Fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
