Our 30th Anniversary Celebration starts today!

Here’s what you need to know:

Saturday, April 18 | 3:00–9:00 PM
📍 3500 North Cleveland Road, Lexington, KY 40516

It looks like it's going to rain some today, but we’ll be covered with a large tent—so the celebration will go on as planned!

Schedule:

• 3:00 PM — Yard games begin
• 3:30 PM — Hayride
• 4:30 PM — Wiffle ball game
• 5:30 PM — BBQ dinner
• 7:00 PM — S’mores & bonfire
• 9:00 PM — Party wraps up

Feel free to come and go, but we especially encourage you to join us for dinner. You’re also welcome to bring camp chairs, board games, or outdoor gear to enjoy the afternoon.

Join us for a special celebration service as we give thanks for 30 years of God’s faithfulness. We’ll sing beloved hymns and songs from across the years and hear the story of Apostles from many faithful voices who have shaped our journey—including Fr. Martin Gornik and Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe.

We encourage you to arrive a little early. It will be a full and joyful morning. A reception will follow, along with a photo booth and professional family photos.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

On December 21, our Vestry joyfully announced that Apostles has called The Rev. Samuel Hood to serve as our next Rector.

After completing his curacy, Samuel will begin this ministry among us on May 1, 2026. We give thanks to God for this answer to prayer and for the blessing of Samuel, along with Maddie and Rowan!

Exactly 30 years ago today, our church was planted in the city of Lexington, Kentucky.

We began in one living room, with just seven people present.

Since then, we have gone by two names—Church of the Apostles and now Apostles Anglican Church.

We have lived under the oversight of three church bodies—the Episcopal Church, the Church of Uganda, and today, the Anglican Church in North America.

We have worshiped in over eight different spaces—from hotel conference rooms and gymnasiums to the sanctuary we now gratefully call home.

Along the way, we have seen hundreds of people find healing within our walls and experience the transforming power of Jesus’ love. Over time, thousands more—across our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and wider community—have been touched by God’s kingdom at work through this parish.

Through changing seasons, places, and circumstances, one thing has remained constant: God has been faithful. We are here today because of His faithfulness—His kindness, His grace, and His goodness, shown to us time and time again.

So today, with deep gratitude and great joy, we say:
Happy 30th Anniversary, Apostles!

"This is the day that the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24)
