By the grace of God and the miracle of community partnership tomorrow morning we will open our sanctuary doors for worship in our historic sanctuary. What a way to celebrate Easter and the resurrection of new life! ☀️

You’ll find parking in the lot across from our KY Ave doors, along the Woodland Park area, and on nearby side streets. If you’re able, we invite you to enjoy a short walk through the neighborhood— helping us keep closer spots open for those who need them most.

🚪Entrance
When you arrive for worship we invite you to enter through the front doors on High Street. For accessible entry, please use the KY Avenue doors and go straight down the hallway to the elevator, and take it to the second floor.

Join us tomorrow as we celebrate Palm Sunday at 1390 Olivia Lane at 10AM. This will be our final worship service at Olivia Lane after nearly three years of being temporarily relocated during construction.

We will worship, wave our palm branches, sing hosanna, and remember the road that leads us to resurrection! 🌿

What an extraordinary season it has been! We would love to worship with you!

After years of dreaming, discerning, and building– we’re making the journey home! And it’s bigger than we imagined. A restored historic sanctuary, affordable housing for seniors, and a renewed vision for what church and community can be– together!

This week marks a HUGE moment– Woodland is springing back to the corner of East High & KY Avenue! Shout out to all of our amazing volunteers who are making our move possible!

It’s incredible to see everything coming together– from unpacking our storage pods yesterday to packing our temporary location in the coming weeks, final touches from our general contractor, pew restoration, and A/V installation– and best of all, what’s already here is a future full of hope!

Come celebrate, worship, and witness what is possible through faith, partnership, and the extraordinary generosity of our community!

Yesterday during worship we remembered the saints from our families, friends, and faith communities whose lives and stories have woven together the beautiful tapestry of who we are.

As we honored their light and legacy we also celebrated new life among us, welcoming seven new members: Rev. Shelby & Megan Lewis Greene, Abby Hayden, Bob & Lynn Nagorski, Kathryn Johnston, and Elliot Green!

In this season of gratitude, we give thanks for the saints of Woodland Christian Church– for their steadfast faith and bold vision that continues to shape our progressive legacy in the heart of Lexington, KY.

Codie Wilson from the HOPE Center joined us for worship on Sunday to be a witness to the life-saving work of the HOPE Center and highlight Woodland’s longstanding partnership with the HOPE Mobile.

Codie shared his story of addiction and inspiring path of recovery that was made possible through his connection with the HOPE Center. After three years of being sober he is grateful to be serving our community through his work with the HOPE Mobile.

The HOPE mobile moves to different downtown locations each weekday with a nurse and social worker to provide basic needs, including food, water, and basic healthcare, to any individual in need who seeks their services. For over 20 years volunteers from Woodland provide 40 sandwiches each week for the HOPE mobile, making around 2,080 sandwiches each year.

With SNAP benefits being paused in November and affecting over 600,000 Kentuckians alone, we remember that collective thriving is only made possible through community partnership and we give thanks for the ways the HOPE Center and HOPE Mobile provides life-changing assistance to our neighbors. 💙
