This Sunday, May 31, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our church building. We look forward to welcoming back former pastors, friends, and choir members. Our guest preacher will be Rev. Doug Forrester, Assistant to the Bishop and Chief Operating Officer for the VA Conference (and our former District Superintendent.) We hope you can join us for worship and lunch.

Happy Pentecost Sunday! 🔥The Holy Spirit was definitely moving this morning. And, what a perfect day to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the ordination of women in the Methodist Church!👠👠 We were blessed to have two of our own ordained women (an elder and a deacon) leading worship today!

Join us for worship tomorrow at 10 a.m. as we celebrate Pentecost (don't forget to wear "fiery" colors!)🔥and begin a new sermon series: “The Holy Spirit.”

With the help of Adam Hamilton’s new book "The Holy Spirit: God’s Presence and Power at Work in Us," we will explore what Scripture teaches about God’s Spirit, and grow in our understanding about the Holy Spirit’s presence and power at work in our own lives. We’ll begin this week with the powerful story of the Holy Spirit giving birth to the church in the Book of Acts. Then, after our Centennial celebration on May 31, we’ll return to the series in June, exploring the Holy Spirit from the Hebrew Bible through Jesus’ promises in the Gospels, and the rich teachings found in Paul’s New Testament letters. We hope you can join us!
