Today is World Teachers’ Day, and we just want to take a moment to say thank you to the teachers in our community.

We know that what you do is so much more than teaching lessons. You encourage, listen, challenge, care, and show up for kids day after day — often in ways most of us will never see.

You help shape the lives of the next generation, and that matters deeply.

So to the teachers in our schools, in our church, and throughout our community: thank you for the work you do and for the care you give so freely.

We’re grateful for you, and we’re praying for you as you continue pouring into our kids. ❤️

This Sunday, we’re beginning a new sermon series called "Following Jesus: The First Steps of a Disciple."

Sometimes we can make following Jesus feel complicated. But when we look at the first disciples, it often began in surprisingly ordinary places—with an invitation to follow, a decision to leave something behind, and a willingness to learn a new way of life.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going back to those first steps and asking a simple question: "What does it actually look like to follow Jesus in our everyday lives?"

Whether you’ve been following Jesus for years, you’re just beginning to explore faith, or you’re somewhere in between, there’s a place for you in this conversation.

This week, we’re wrapping up our Sent Together series with a simple reminder: following Jesus sends us toward others.

Jesus didn’t call the Church to exist only for ourselves. He sends us into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and community to love and serve the people around us.

This Sunday, we’ll explore what it means to live as people who are "sent to serve." Not just through big moments or church programs, but through the ordinary opportunities God puts in front of us every day.

As we close out "Sent Together", we’ll ask one more important question:

Where is Jesus sending us to serve?

What if following Jesus on mission doesn’t always mean going somewhere new?

Sometimes, it means paying closer attention to the places we already go and the people we already see.

Our neighborhoods. Our workplaces. The sidelines at our kids’ activities. The coffee shop we visit every week. The people we recognize, but may not really know yet.

Yesterday, we talked about what it means to be sent by Jesus into our everyday lives.

Sometimes an invitation is all it takes.

There may be someone in your life who has thought about coming to church, wondered what it would be like, or simply hasn’t wanted to walk through the doors alone.

You don’t need the perfect words. You don’t need a big speech.

Just a simple, “Hey, want to come to church with me this Sunday?”

This Sunday is Back to Church Sunday, and we’d love to welcome whoever you bring with you.

Think of someone. Send the text. And we’ll be ready to welcome them. ❤️

You don’t have to be a pastor, missionary, or Bible expert to be used by God.

Jesus has always entrusted His mission to ordinary people—people who are still learning, still growing, and still figuring things out.

And He still sends ordinary people today.

This week, pay attention to the places you already go: your workplace, neighborhood, school, ballfield, coffee shop, or wherever your normal rhythms take you.

Then ask one simple question:

“God, what are You already doing here, and how can I join You?”

You don’t have to manufacture the moment. Trust that God is already at work.

Pay attention. Trust God. Go.
