Summer worship services have begun. Worship now begins at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel on Sundays. Pastor Mark’s summer sermons will be on the Psalms. Each Sunday he will highlight a different Psalm. Come when you are in town and worship with your church family!
Psalms for Summer Worship
August 2: Psalm 121
As you read this psalm, you see the psalmist’s dependence on God for help, which can be especially relevant during a time of trouble, but also during your vacations and travel.
August 9: Psalm 117
This short psalm, "Praise the Lord, all you nations; praise him, all you peoples," can be a fitting anthem for the joyful spirit of summer and fellowship.
August 16: Psalm 27
A psalm that highlights the goodness of God against the presence of the evil and at the same time teaches us to gain strength as we wait on the Lord.
August 23: Psalm 23
This psalm, particularly the verses about "green pastures" and "quiet waters," evokes the refreshing and abundant nature of summer, contrasting with the harsh realities of life.
August 30: Psalm 36
The psalmist speaks of the righteousness and unfailing love of our God. In the midst of our hot summer we discover, “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.”
September 6: Psalm 128

This is the perfect psalm for Labor Day, celebrating the dignity of human work and the peace that comes from an honest day's labor. It reminds us that our efforts are rewarded by God and brings true happiness to our homes.
September 13: Psalm 25
This psalm calls on God for guidance and direction in life leading to integrity and uprightness; because our hope is in the Lord.
