This was last month at the beginning of the school year. When student leaders of Perry County Central High School and Hazard High School, both in Hazard KY, put aside their rivalry with a Fellowship of Christian Athletes school year kick off. About 100 students came on a VERY HOT Saturday afternoon and shared testimonies and talked about the difference Christ as made in their lives. It was an honor to be a part.

One of the best things about traveling in ministry for over 26 years is the the relationships you make along the way. I cannot do what I feel called to do without pastors, ministry leaders and others opening up their pulpits to me & giving me the opportunity to speak.

This weekend I travelled down to Newnan, GA to speak for a combined youth event with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life.

My friend of 15 years, Brian Morgan with FCA invited me down to speak at a school year kickoff event. About 150-200 kids crammed into a donated warehouse to stay out of the rain, and though it was hot in that room, it was sweet. Brian first brought me in to speak to his first youth group in Florida around 2008. One of the biggest blessings and encouragements I get is to be invited back somewhere and I think this weekend was the 6th or 7th time he’s had me come speak to his kids.

And because Susan and Alex went with me we got to take Alex to the Georgia Aquarium (AMAZING) & the Zoo Atlanta.

Five years ago today, I asked Susan Mills to marry me. Not a single hour has passed where I’ve regretted my decision and been beyond belief thankful that she said yes. We were married two months later. A three month period that, without exaggeration, changed my life. The last five years I have come to see marriage as an absolute partnership and come to understand what having a Biblical teammate means. I’ve never had a servant leader like her in my life and only hope my life serves her the same.

First of all, please forgive me for not posting recently. I have just gotten out of the habit. However, that doesn't mean I've not been busy speaking. As Covid has withdrawn over the last year or so I am getting more and more opportunities to share Christ again. It’s already been four years but why do the best years of one’s life go by so fast. I know we both have said that hopefully we can get 40 years out of our marriage after finding each other later in our lives but that still doesn’t seem like nearly enough time together. However, I am so thankful for every day, week, month and year Iget to spend with you as my wife. Happy 4th Anniversary Susan Mills!

Proud of my brother, Collier & the company he works for, MAP. They have built 2 schools w/ ball courts in Liberia, Africa. They support the school, church, and medical clinic & this week is camp. The rural school has 100 students. The school in Monrovia, Liberia has 700.
