This past Sunday at RCCG Open Door Parish, during our School of Disciples (SOD) Sunday, we reflected on the message Walking in the Way of the Blessed, drawing insight from Psalm 1:1–3.

We were reminded that a blessed life is intentional, shaped by the paths we avoid, the passions we develop, and the promises we receive. Scripture emphasizes that our choices determine our destination, and we must guard against ungodly influences, as compromise often develops gradually through what we walk, stand, and sit in.

We learned that true passion is formed by what we dwell on. When we delight in the Word of God, it becomes a relationship that renews our minds and directs our lives. As we remain rooted in Him, we are nourished and strengthened to live according to His will.

We were also reminded that the promise of a blessed life is stability and fruitfulness. Like a tree planted by the rivers of water, a life grounded in God produces lasting impact and reflects His goodness in every season.

As we move forward, may we choose the path of righteousness, guard our influences, and remain rooted in God, walking in the fullness of the blessed life He has prepared for us.

On Sunday, we reflected on the message Knowing the Will of God, drawing insight from Hebrews 13:8.

We were reminded that “Thy will be done” is a call to obedience and submission, aligning our decisions with God’s purpose. Though man has free will, God reveals His will through His divine plan, giving each person a unique assignment to fulfill at the right time.

We learned that not every outcome is God’s direct doing, as human choices carry consequences. Therefore, discernment is essential. Scripture teaches that transformation through the Word helps us understand His good and perfect will.

Key ways of knowing God’s will include studying Scripture, divine encounters, visions and dreams, prophetic guidance, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. As we grow, we become more sensitive to His voice and better aligned with His purpose.

As we move forward, may we seek God’s will intentionally and walk in the fulfillment that comes from living according to His plan.

At RCCG Open Door Parish on Sunday, we reflected on the message titled Life Is in Seasons from Ecclesiastes 3:1–8. We were reminded to appreciate God at all times, recognizing that it is by His mercy that we are preserved. In every season of life, whether visible or quiet, we are encouraged to continually give thanks and praise to God.

We learned that life moves in seasons, just as nations rise and fall in different eras. No season lasts forever, and God is the One who changes times and seasons, raises leaders, and removes them according to His purpose. Because of this, we are called not to compare our journey with others. One person’s season may be present, while another’s may still be ahead. Each season carries its own purpose and preparation.

Through biblical examples, we saw that seasons may include positioning, preparation, and pruning. Just as David’s season arrived at the appointed time, God prepares His people for their moment of manifestation. At times, pruning removes what could hinder our growth so that we can fulfill God’s purpose and finish well.

We were reminded that when our season comes, fruitfulness and manifestation follow. God also places the right people in our lives to help fulfill His plans. May we trust God’s timing, remain faithful in every season, and be prepared for the moment He calls us to step into our divine place.

This past Sunday, during our Church Thanksgiving service, we were reminded from Psalm 91 that God has given us a divine insurance policy that no human system can compare with. As we gathered with thankful hearts, we reflected on the assurance that while earthly insurance is limited, God’s coverage is complete and dependable for all who choose to dwell under His shadow. Are we staying under the cover?

We reflected on Jesus’ words in Matthew 17, where He taught that some challenges require more than prayer; they demand preparation through fasting. This reminds us that spiritual strength is not built on the day of trouble, but long before it comes. How prepared are we for the battles we cannot yet see?

God’s divine insurance touches every area of our lives. He covers our health, our provision, our protection, our wisdom, our rest, and even our eternity. By His stripes we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). He gives us life in abundance (John 10:10). He supplies all our needs (Philippians 4:19). What area of your life do you need to trust God’s coverage for today?

In this week and beyond, let us make a daily decision to remain under God’s divine insurance, walking in faith, obedience, and total trust in Him. May He grant us the grace to stay under His cover, today and always.

This past Sunday, we were challenged with a powerful message on vigilance and spiritual growth: "When Men Slept."
Through the parable Jesus shared in Matthew 13:1-30, we learned about the dangers of spiritual negligence. Just as the enemy’s sowing of tares tainted the farmer’s wheat while men slept, we too must be vigilant in our spiritual walk to avoid the distractions and deception of the world around us.

The message emphasized the importance of spiritual growth, calling us to move from infancy to maturity in our faith (Hebrews 5:12-14). It reminded us that true growth in Christ is evident in how we live, think, and respond to challenges. We were also warned against conformity, as we must be distinct in our lives, living as examples of Christ’s love and truth (Romans 12:2, John 17:14-17).
The parable also called us to protect our hearts and stay alert, as 1 Peter 5:8 reminds us, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

As we reflect on these lessons, let us commit to guarding our hearts, growing in knowledge of God’s Word, and living lives that are distinct from the world. Remember, the enemy sows in the night, when we are unaware, but we are called to rise above and remain vigilant in our walk with God.
Let us continue to grow and stand firm in our faith, becoming more like Him each day.
