We could all use a night to slow down, worship, and remember just how good God has been!!!

Ladies, join us Thursday, September 10 at 7 PM for a special Women’s Night of Praise & Dessert centered around the Goodness of God.

We’ll spend the evening singing together, hearing Scripture, sharing testimonies, and taking time to reflect on God’s faithfulness in our lives. And after the praise, we’ll stay awhile for dessert and good conversation.

Come as you are, bring a friend, and let’s enjoy a night together. We’d love to have you there!🥹

After more than 22 years at Tates Creek, we’re celebrating our friend and Financial Administrator, Kim Jones, as she begins her retirement! ❤️

This week, our staff celebrated Kim by doing one of her favorite things… laser tag! What a way to celebrate someone who has given so much of her time, energy, and heart to our church family over the years.

We’re going to miss having Kim around, but we’re so excited for this next chapter. We know it will be filled with lots of love from her family and grandkids, plenty of Operation Christmas Child shoebox work, and hopefully a little more time for fun and relaxing, too!

Kim, thank you for 22+ years of faithfully serving Tates Creek Christian Church. We love you and are praying for you as you step into this next season!

A few clips from our recent Parent Camp Event!

This session, we learned all about discipleship. Parents and grandparents of kids and students learned how to lead and disciple their families together. We had a great meal and time to discuss together and grow closer as parents and grandparents! We can’t wait to see how God continues to work in the lives of our families here at TCCC ⛺️❤️

| Ashland Terrace ❤️

Ashland Terrace is a historic, nonprofit senior living community for women. It was established in 1849 as the “Home of the Friendless” to support those left destitute by cholera outbreaks. At that time, it served men, women and children. After several moves and name changes over the years, Ashland Terrace moved to its current location at 478 South Ashland Avenue in 1960. It currently serves 35 women.

Tates Creek began its involvement with the facility in the mid-’60s, which made sense because the facility was only a block away from the High Street church building. Women from TCCC would teach Sunday School for the ladies housed there, and deacons and elders would serve communion for them. The ministry is still active today, and now there have been some husband-and-wife teams to join the cause.

There are currently five teachers who serve on a rotation of weekly lessons, with one of the five picking up the fifth Sundays. When COVID struck the city and the facility, classes were suspended for a while but resumed when the okay was given. Communion is now led by the teachers; the deacons/elders did not resume serving communion after COVID.

Several of these women have their own transportation and attend their home churches. We teach Sunday School to the ladies who are less mobile each week.

Many wonderful relationships have formed between teachers and “students.” Teachers have the opportunity to hear about prayer needs, learn about families and truly develop relationships with these lovely ladies. There are great discussions about the Sunday School materials, and many friendships have developed there.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to continue serving our community through this ministry. Join us as we continue to pray for our friends at Ashland Terrace!

🏕️ Parent Camp is BACK! Join us THIS Sunday, August 30, for an evening designed to help you lead your family well.

This session, we’re talking about discipleship! Specifically, how do we intentionally lead our kids and students toward Jesus in a world that feels increasingly difficult to navigate?

Parents and grandparents will enjoy a meal together at 5:30 pm before breaking into age-specific groups from 6–7:15 pm:

**Parents of elementary-age kids & younger: Dawn
**Parents of middle & high school students: Nathan
**Grandparents:Ernie
