Now Hiring: Director of Holy Atmosphere Calibration (HAC)

King’s Church is seeking a highly sensitive and spiritually attuned individual to monitor, measure, and maintain optimal levels of “felt presence” during all gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

Adjust lighting levels in real-time based on perceived glory density
Coordinate spontaneous key changes with the worship team via nonverbal cues
Deploy strategic fog bursts during heightened moments
Monitor congregational engagement (hands-raised-per-capita ratio)
Provide post-service “atmosphere reports” to leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to discern between “meaningful moment” and “we’ve crossed over”
Familiarity with ambient pads and extended instrumental builds
Strong awareness of room dynamics and flow
Must own at least one wide-brim hat or neutral-toned cardigan

Compensation:

Dear King’s Church family,

A quick update for this weekend: our main and back parking lots are plowed, but sidewalks are still icy, and the small lot across the street and staff lot are not available. We recommend using the back lot and entering through the back doors if you come.

We will be gathering in person for those who feel comfortable, but there is no pressure at all. The roads near the church are still icy, and we encourage everyone to use wisdom and stay safe. Our service will be livestreamed and interactive for those joining from home.

Vision Sunday and our Family Feast have been moved to next Sunday so everyone can participate. For those who do come tomorrow, feel free to bring a brown bag lunch—a few of us will be staying after to eat together, and you’re welcome to join.

If anyone in the King’s Church family needs help or support, please reach out and let us know—we truly want to be available for those who need it.

We’re grateful for you, whether you’re with us in the room or from your couch. Stay warm and safe, dear friends.
