Hello friends:

-Please join us this Sunday - All Saints Sunday - for our 11 a.m. worship service. During our communion you will be invited up to light a candle for the saints you have lost in remembrance. We are also remembering the saints we lost this year: Anthony "Tony" James, Rose Seitz and Elizabeth "Liz" Woodward. Pastor Andrew's message, "A Love that Death Cannot Hold" is based on Hebrews 12:1-2.

-Our Trunk or Treat was a success. We served 200 last Sunday night and are grateful to all who carried this out ... the planning, the candy donations and joining in the fun!

-Cast your vote this Tuesday, November 3rd and a GRAB 'N GO breakfast at the same time. We'll be on hand at 6:30 a.m. with these menu items: egg & bacon or sausage and egg burrito, or cinnamon buns plus a beverage for a free will offering. Those helping to cook on Monday, please meet in the church kitchen at 3 p.m. Monday, November 2nd.

-FALL BACK YOUR CLOCKS SATURDAY NIGHT! We turn the clocks back 1 hour this Saturday night before you go to bed!

-SAVE THE DATE FOR WAFFLES AND WORSHIP - A THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 9 to 10 a.m. in the Buddy Black Family Life Center. Please bring your favorite breakfast dish to share. and join us for worship after at 11 a.m.

-LUMC Blessing Box - we are in need of regular donations of unexpired, nonperishable food items and hygiene items for our Blessing Box. Thank you so much to those who donate for the food insecure.

-Nursery is open from 10 a.m. to Noon Sundays for ages newborn to 4. We are still in need of nursery attendants for this paid position - you must be age 18 or older. Please reach out to our PPR team: Jim Martin, Cheryl Cooley or Pastor Andrew if interested.

-Children's Sunday School is 10 a.m. Sundays with teachers Donna Slusher and Katie Dye.
-Young Disciples Class with Sarah Black is 10 a.m. Sundays.
-Adult Sunday School is in need of a facilitator for this 10 a.m. Sunday class. Interested? Please reach out to Liz Johnson in the church office: 660-259-2483 or [email protected].
-Youth Group meets at 6 p.m. Sundays.
-Whispering Winds rehearsals are 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
-Choir Rehearsal is 10 a.m. Sundays.

-Harvesters distributes Nov. 9, 9 to 11 a.m.
-Baby Grace distributes the first Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. and fourth Saturday 9:30 a.m.

-If you can tie a knot you can make a sleeping bag ... our Quilter's group (My Brother's Keeper) is always looking for help. You don't have to know how to sew! They meet at 1 p.m. Mondays.

-Please join us this Sunday, October 18th for our 11 a.m. worship service. Pastor Andrew's message, "Inside Out: A Changed Heart" is based on Ezekiel 36:26-27.

-Please join us for a time of fellowship at our Halloween & Harvest Favorites Potluck meal this Sunday at Noon - following the 11 a.m. worship service. Please bring a harvest or Halloween favorite dish to share. Jacob Lamb and Shawn Hodgeman are hosting this meal and are in need of volunteers to help.

-Our annual Trunk or Treat will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, October 25th. We still need candy to be donated. A basket is on the table in the hallway. We also need folks to come and help hand out candy - in costume or not. Bring the kids, grandkids, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews for this safe time of Trunk or Treating!

-All Saints Day is Sunday, November 1st at 11 a.m. - This is a time when we honor the saints who have passed before us. You will be able to light a candle in their memory.

-Grab 'N Go Breakfast - on Election Day, November 3rd starting at 6:30 a.m. in our Buddy Black Family Life Center. Our menu includes: egg and bacon burrito, egg and sausage burrito or cinnamon buns with a beverage. Free will offering. If you can cook the food, please reach out to Steven Fuller at 660-422-2983. If you can help work the Grab 'N Go breakfast, we have a sign up sheet with shifts on it in the hallway outside the sanctuary. We are providing the food and recipes to our cooks.

-Council Members: We have a Council meeting Monday, October 19 at 6 p.m. AND our CHARGE CONFERENCE is Tuesday, October 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at First Marshall UMC, 225 E. Arrow St., Marshall. Please let Pastor Andrew know if you are able to attend the Charge Conference.
