Hi there:
Well, it’s Pentecost Sunday! Feel free to wear red this Sunday in celebration of Pentecost.

-Children’s Sunday School will take place this Sunday at 10 a.m., then go on hiatus for the summer starting May 31st and start back up in August when school starts again.
-Adult Sunday School is on hiatus. We’re looking for someone to take over this class. Please reach out to Pastor Andrew or Liz Johnson in the church office if interested.
-Nursery: We are still looking for nursery attendants to work the 10 a.m. to Noon Sunday shift overseeing the nursery with Jordyn Ortega. You must be age 18 or older for this paid position. Please reach out to Pastor Andrew, Jim Martin, Phillip Davis or Cheryl Cooley if interested. You can reach out to Liz Johnson in the office for a job application.

-Many thanks to Susan Small for her donation of new music folders for our choir.
-Many thanks to Steven Fuller for completing the yearly Fund Balance Report!
-BLESSING BOX: You may have noticed our Blessing Box is up in the parking lot. Our Youth Group will be painting the box soon. Plaques and signs will be up on the box soon, too. Spread the word. The box is for non-perishable foods. Please consider when donating non-perishable foods: donate food that won’t melt in hot weather or freeze in cold weather. Please make sure donated foods have not expired or have a short expiration date. Food donations can be placed in the food box outside the sanctuary OR simply placed inside the Blessing Box. Eventually, we will add dog and cat food. Flyers with food item suggestions are on the table outside the sanctuary and inside the Blessing Box. We also need basic Hygiene items for the Blessing Box.
-Fall Fashion Fling: We have flyers available in the hallway. The fling is Saturday, August 22nd, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Buddy Black Family Life Center. Set-up for the fling will be Saturday, August 15th in the FLC. Donations are needed (list is on the flyer) to go directly to Kathryn Roberts: 1214 Franklin Ave., Lexington prior to August 15th. ALSO NEEDED ASAP: laundry soap, dryer sheets, white vinegar, 13-gallon trash bags, quart & gallon Ziploc bags. Many thanks to Kathryn Roberts for spear-heading this event.
