“Survivors II” Program
Missionary Baptist Ministerial Fellowship Organization, Inc. organized in September 18, 1969 and is a Non-Profit Organization. Our membership is made up of the local and surrounding communities of Baptist Ministers. We became incorporated on March 15, 2001. We have been able to help many young ministers in preparing them for the TASK OF spreading the gospel. BY allowing t
hem to give a sermon at each meeting to seasoned pastors and preachers. afterwards discussion and critique of the sermon is given. We also offer a week of inspirational preaching, where we expose them to noted nationally and local preachers. Our Flag Ship Program is the Survivors II Program and the “Survivors II” Program objectives are to help in solving some of the problems with the youth in the local and surrounding communities, with dysfunctional behaviors and help or stop truancy. The programs philosophy is based on Christian principles which bring good
character development and citizenship qualities. We use positive names which override the negative ones. For example, the names of the basketball teams are taken from the fruits of the spirit which are; Love, Joy, Peace, Long-Suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Meekness, Temperance, and Faith. We also have an Educational Component which is our main focus. Through it we are able to make students in our program better, well-rounded individuals, by enhancing what their teachers are doing in the classroom, as well as, assisting them with their homework. The Survivors II Program also includes teaching Banking skills, Budgeting,
Career Training, and ACT Testing Training. This is followed up with a College and Cultural Tour for all participants, based on a point reward system.
