At SANCTUARY Pastoral Care Center we will determine whether we can provide you with the services and level of care needed. You may be referred outside of SANCTUARY when treatment required is beyond the scope of care available here. Please note that Dorri Smith is not a licensed therapist or mental health professional. She has, however, had advanced training in the Scriptures and Pastoral Counseling to address life problems and to help people see their situations from God's perspective. Dorri Smith is a graduate of Columbia International University Seminary & School of Missions with a Master of Divinity degree specializing in Pastoral Counseling & Spiritual Formation. She completed the Chaplaincy requirements in Clinical Pastoral Education at Palmetto Health, a prerequisite program for Board Certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the Association of Marriage & Family Ministries, the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies. Dorri is an ordained minister and has received ecclesiastical endorsement through The Coalition of Spirit-Filled Churches. She is becoming a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor through the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is also a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. She is married to Dr. Jarrell Smith of Lexington, SC. They have four sons and one daughter.
