Senior Night
The Southside family is invited to honor and celebrate the graduating high school seniors of 2026. A dinner will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:00 p.m. in the Gathering Place.

The dinner will be catered by Moe's. Adults will be $10, children $5, with a family maximum of $25. Please register and pay on Church Center by May 20.

What’s Your Worship? Allegiant Living in a Divergent World (May 3 - June 28)
Explore how true faith in Christ transcends belief, rising to lived allegiance to King Jesus, expressed through daily worship and faithful obedience, and how our liturgies shape our attractions to either the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Man. Learn how to incorporate spiritual habits as a way to deepen allegiance and loyal love, and resist the “rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" that actively distract us today.

2 Kings - Discovery Bible Study (May 3 - August 30)
Study Elisha's succession of Elijah, Israel's captivity and exile to Assyria, Jerusalem's destruction, and Judah's exile to Babylon; including the exploits of the kings of Israel and Judah who caused all this mayhem. During this 4-month class we will use the Discovery Bible Study method to dig into 2 Kings.

May 3 - Chapter 1 to 2:14
May 10 - 2:15 through Chapter 3
May 17 - Chapter 4
May 24 - Chapter 5 to 6:7
May 31 - 6:8 to 7:15

Medication Collection April 20 - May 10

Once again, the Missions Team is collecting medication for the Medical Brigade to Honduras this summer. A donation bin will be in the Gathering Place.

Items needed:
-Acetaminophen 500 mg tablets or capsules
-Ibuprofen 200 mg tablets or capsules
-Adult vitamins (tablets or capsules) *no gummies
-Antacids (Tums)

Please note:
-Receipts need to be attached to anything donated due to customs restrictions!
-Big bottles from places like Costco or Sams are especially appreciated.
-Expiration dates must be February 2027 or later.

Mark 16:1-8
New International Version

Jesus Has Risen

16 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”

4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”

8 Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.
