Friends, we need your help.
As you may have heard, the Wesley Foundation has a new Director, Kayla, and we want to do everything we can to welcome her well. At the same time, we want to be ready to welcome our students back when they arrive in August.
The Wesley Foundation is more than a building—it’s a campus ministry dedicated to reaching students with the love of Christ. Our facility serves as a launching pad for ministry and as a Christian living community where college students find faith, friendship, support, and a place to belong. By investing in this space, we are investing in the lives of students who are discovering who they are and who God is calling them to become.
I spent several hours there this week assessing the building and, honestly, the amount of work needed felt a little overwhelming. But I also know what happens when God’s people come together. Many hands really do make light work.
We’re looking for help in three ways:
🔨 Serve – We need volunteers for cleaning, organizing, landscaping, and light repair projects.
💵 Give – Financial gifts can help us purchase needed items and supplies that make the Wesley Foundation a welcoming and functional home for students. A gift of just $20 can provide an outlet tower where students gather to study, connect, and build community around our living room and dining room tables. A gift of $150 can help purchase an area rug that creates a warm and hospitable first impression for students, alumni, and guests as they walk through our front door. Every gift, large or small, helps create an environment where relationships are formed, faith is nurtured, and lives are transformed.

🛋️ Donate – We’re looking for gently used furniture, equipment, and décor that can help make the Wesley Foundation a warm and welcoming home for students. Current needs include couches (leather or pleather preferred due to heavy daily use), bar-height chairs, dehumidifiers, and other items that create comfortable spaces for studying, gathering, and building community. If you have something that could serve college students well, we’d love to hear from you.
We also have several projects that need attention, including deep cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, organizing storage areas, landscaping, outdoor furniture restoration, and a handful of minor repairs.
If you, your church, Sunday School class, small group, or someone you know would like to help, please reach out to me William Herndon, I am the relatively new board chair for the Wesley.
Together, we can create a place where students encounter Christ, build lifelong friendships, and discover God’s calling on their lives.
