Between the end of the church year and the beginning of summer, we’ll reflect on sacred spaces of transition, uncertainty, and possibility. From dusk to dawn, childhood to adulthood, grief to healing, we live much of our lives in the in-between.

Join us this month as we explore what it means to dwell in liminal spaces, to find meaning in the pause, and to trust the unfolding journey. Together, we’ll honor the thresholds that shape who we are becoming.

Join us this Sunday to celebrate our Coming of Age youth! The young people coming of age will share their credo statements with the congregation and receive the blessing of our loving community as they transition into young adulthood.

This week’s service will feature music chosen by our Coming of Age youth. The music we hold close to our hearts can express things that are difficult to put into words, so you are invited to listen with both mindfulness and joy.

As we continue with our worship theme of “neighbor” on Mother’s Day, Rev. Claire will share the life stories of some “neighboring” mothers. Rev. Claire will share the stories of 3 women you never met; they were not famous or rich or “important.” They were just regular people who could have lived on your block. Why do they matter? They were loved and loving. Their ordinary lives can inspire us and make us ask ourselves: what do we want folks to say about us, when we are gone?

“Love thy neighbor” is the age-old golden rule. Join us tomorrow, when Rev. Claire opens May’s worship theme of neighbor with reflections on human nature, alien abductions, lessons from Mr. Rogers, NIMBYism, spite and altruism, and maybe more. Who is our neighbor? And what does love look like, anyway?

This Sunday, join guest preacher Jason McLin as we explore the many ways in which we embody a spirit of curiosity and joy in our daily lives. How do we know that which we seek is real? With a little help from the tenets of musical theatre, we’ll ponder this and the question of how Spirit meets us with a jazz hand — or two.
