Greetings everyone.
I will start with sharing one of my favorite scriptures which is Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I enrolled in the online Asbury business management program in 2016 to complete my degree. Being a wife, mother, grandmother, dog mom, and research manager at the University of Kentucky Gill Heart and Vascular – I knew being a student would not be easy. But, I relied on the promise that God had plans for my life regardless of my current situation. I knew Jesus would walk this part of my journey with me. There were times when I felt overwhelmed – I would get an email of with words of encouragement from someone on staff at Asbury. There were times I would reach out to my instructors with panic that I would not do well in the class. But they always found the right words to encourage me along my journey. There were times when I would reach out to other students that were in my classes because I was struggling, and they would again encourage me to keep the faith. There were times when I felt I couldn’t complete the degree because of my responsibilities. But my beautiful family would give me the encouragement and support that I needed to keep pushing.
My time at Asbury allowed me to feel the love from my Jesus supporters along the way. For this – I am grateful!
I leave you with another one of my favorites! Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
I’m a proud graduate of Asbury University Class of 2023 at the age of 60!
