Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way.– 1 Corinthians 12:31 NIV

Paul wrote this to believers who were chasing spiritual gifts, achievements, and influence. But he described love as the most excellent way. He wasn’t dismissing those other things, but pointing out that without love, the gifts lose their purpose and power.

Love is the environment in which faith thrives, and truth becomes beautiful.

Describing it as ‘an excellent way’, Paul makes it clear that love is a choice, a way we can go – the best way!

Love isn’t just a virtue among many virtues. Love is not just a theory or emotion—it’s a deliberate way of living. It shapes how we speak, how we serve, and how we see others.

To walk in love is to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, whose compassion always outweighed His convenience. ❤️

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. – 1 Corinthians 13:6 NIV

Love and truth are inseparable companions.

Real love doesn’t cover up sin, gossip about others, or celebrate failure. Instead, love seeks honesty, justice, and wholeness. Love that rejoices in truth refuses to manipulate—it shines light into darkness with both courage and compassion.

Jesus embodied this balance perfectly. He was, as the Bible says, “full of grace and truth” (John 1:14 NIV). His love never excused sin but always extended grace to sinners.

One of my favourite stories in the Bible is the woman caught in adultery, where Jesus demonstrates what it means to be full of grace and truth. He says, “Neither do I condemn you” – that’s grace. But He also says, “Go now and leave your life of sin” – That’s truth. (John 8:11 NIV)

When we love truthfully, we reflect this same holy tension. It’s gentle yet honest, compassionate but clear.

So, this is my question for today: Do you value truth as much as you value peace? Where do you need courage to love in a way that will make the other person better and bring more honesty and grace into your relationship? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love keeps no record of wrongs. – 1 Corinthians 13:5 NIV

Real love doesn’t keep score. It doesn’t build ledgers of offence or store receipts from moments of past pain. Instead, love chooses to forgive. And forgiveness is one of love’s hardest and holiest opportunities to work.

When we cling to bitterness, we chain ourselves to the past. But forgiveness opens the door to freedom—not only for the one forgiven, but also for the one doing the forgiving.

It doesn’t mean what happened was okay. It simply means we’ve placed the judgment in God’s hands instead of holding it in our own.

Jesus demonstrated this perfectly from the cross when He said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34 NIV)

That, my friend, is love stripped of resentment, filled with mercy, and anchored in an eternal love that will last forever.

So, in this moment right now, think of a person or a wound that still echoes in the dark chambers of your heart. Ask God for the courage to do the loving thing and forgive—even if it’s just a whispered prayer of, “Father, forgive them.” ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love … does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. – 1 Corinthians 13:4 NIV

Love does not need to compete, to compare, or to brag. When pride enters a relationship, love leaves.

Envy says, “I want what you have.” Boasting says, “Look what I have.” And pride says, “I don’t really need you.” But love says, “I’m grateful for you. I’m thankful for you. I’m proud of you.”

I could fill a book with all the ways I’m grateful for my husband. He has given me so much in my life and is a daily testimony to God’s faithfulness. When I stay close to him, my life is amazing.

Pride isolates, but love connects.

Envy corrodes, but love celebrates.

The moment we choose humility, love can flow freely again.

Jesus always chose humility. I love the stories of Him washing feet, welcoming sinners, and placing Himself below others to, in turn, lift them up. That’s the pattern of love that transforms communities, families, and marriages.

So, today, I want to invite you to celebrate someone else’s success, to serve without seeking attention, and to find joy in somebody else’s blessing.

Think about this for a moment: Do you quietly compete or compare with others? What if today we could turn that competition into a celebration instead? ❤️❤️❤️ 0

Love is patient, love is kind. – 1 Corinthians 13:4 NIV

Love isn’t proven by what we feel, but by how we act. Patience and kindness are love’s first fruits. They require strength of spirit and a gentleness of heart. True patience doesn’t simply endure delays and inconveniences—it actually endures people with grace.

Kindness, in turn, is love’s generosity in motion. It lifts, it heals, and it refreshes.

Jesus modelled both of these perfectly. He patiently waited for Peter to grow, forgave His accusers, and showed kindness to everyone He met. His love was never rushed, never harsh, and never self-serving.

Our world seems to reward speed and reaction, but love asks us to slow down, to listen, to understand, and to extend goodness even when it’s not deserved. Every moment that tests your patience is also a moment to be like Jesus and to respond in love.

My question to you is this: Who in your life needs to see some patience and kindness from you today? ❤️❤️

Your mind is not a junk drawer.

It may feel like one sometimes, full of old fears, random thoughts, worst-case scenarios, and one emotional receipt from 2019 you somehow still have not thrown away. But your mind was not made to be ruled by whatever thought wanders in and starts touching things.

God calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

That means our thoughts can be retrained. Renewed. Re-anchored in truth.

Not every thought deserves a chair. Not every fear deserves a vote. Not every anxious idea is a prophecy. Some thoughts simply need to be noticed, named, and handed to God before they start redecorating the whole room.

Second Timothy reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline. That does not mean you will never feel afraid. It means fear is not your identity, your authority, or your boss.

And when worry whispers that you are alone, Hebrews 13:5 gives you something stronger to say back: God will never leave you or forsake you.

Never.

Not when your thoughts are tired. Not when your emotions are loud. Not when you have to pray the same prayer again because apparently peace is something we practice, not something we master all at one time.

God is with you. You are never alone.

He will keep meeting you in the anxious moments, the ordinary Tuesdays, the middle-of-the-night thoughts, and the small brave choices to trust Him again.

So when worry starts talking, you can talk back.

You can say: God is with me.
You can say: Fear is not from Jesus.
You can say: My mind is renewed through the Holy Spirit.
You can say: Jesus, pass the peace, please. Knowing He will each and every time you ask. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
