Look around. If the sun is out or your lights are on the last thing you would likely say is, "I'm in the dark." But have you ever considered that in the truest sense, you might actually be?
In John 8:12, Jesus describes Himself as "the light of the world." It sounds like a simple statement, but its implications are profound. It is Jesus who illumines truth and shows us the paths we are to pursue. With Jesus, we don't have to question who we are, our purpose, or where we're going. He shows us the way because He lights up the way. And what a blessing it is to be in His light! For Jesus goes on to say in John 8:12, "whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life."
