This morning I preached on
"Three Things to Do in 2026"
Text: Hebrews 10:23–25 (KJV)
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
I. LIVE RIGHT
Text: Colossians 3:5–11 (KJV)
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Truth:
Living right means putting sin to death and putting Christ on display.
II. LOVE RIGHT
Text: Colossians 3:12–14 (KJV)
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Truth:
Right love is not optional—it is the visible evidence of Christ in us.
III. LOOK RIGHT
A. Look UP — Fix Your Eyes on Christ
Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Faith stays steady when our eyes stay on Jesus—not circumstances.
B. Look UP — Anticipate Redemption
Luke 21:28 (KJV)
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
A downward world requires an upward look.
C. Look FORWARD — Expect His Appearing
Hebrews 9:28 (KJV)
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Those who are looking for Him will be living for Him.
D. Look AROUND & AHEAD — Stay Faithful Together
Hebrews 10:23–25 (KJV)
Holding fast… considering one another… exhorting one another… as ye see the day approaching.
Truth:
A right look produces right living, right loving, and right faithfulness.
