$101.97 for one gas stop today, and we still have at least one more fill-up before we make it home from Florida.

Traveling with the boys to meetings is always a blessing, but it sure reminds us what it takes to keep the ministry moving down the road. We’re thankful for every church, every prayer, and every person who helps make it possible for these boys to hear good Bible preaching and see God work in their lives.

Please pray for safe travels as we head home. If you would like to help with our travel and gas expenses, I’ll post our Venmo information below. Every gift is greatly appreciated.

We had a wonderful time at the camp meeting in Macclenny, Florida, hosted by Faith Baptist Church and Pastor Dismuke. We are so thankful for their kindness and hospitality.

The preaching was powerful, and the Lord met with us in a special way. It was a blessing to fellowship with friends and meet new preachers.

We also enjoyed being at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor James Burke, and the boys always enjoy being around Bro. Kevin Mann.

The boys had a great time and made memories they will never forget. It was good for them to be around godly people and sit under strong preaching.

We thank the Lord for all He did in our hearts this week.

We are so thankful for our time with Pastor Justin Atchison and the dear folks at Bemiss Road Baptist Church.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity, and for allowing us to stay in your prophet’s chamber. We enjoyed sweet fellowship in your home, the pizza, and the homemade ice cream, the boys’ favorite was the chocolate.

The boys made memories they will never forget. More importantly, they will never forget how much Pastor Atchison and the church love them.

Thank you for the good preaching, a wonderful meal after the service, and for allowing us to be your friends in the ministry. We are truly grateful.

Starting the day the right way.

This morning at Shining Light School for Boys, the boys took time to sit down, open their Bibles, and spend time in God’s Word. Moments like these are where real change begins, not just outward behavior, but heart transformation.

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalm 119:11

Please continue to pray for these young men, that God would do a lasting work in their hearts and lives.

🙌 PRAISE THE LORD! 🙌
📅 Update – February 27, 2026

We are so thankful to share that the refrigerator need has been completely met!

The new refrigerator has been provided 🧊 and the balance we owed on our Lowe’s card for the damaged fridge has now been paid in full!✅

What a blessing it is to watch God use His people to meet the needs of Shining Light School for Boys. Once again, the Lord has proven Himself faithful.

Thank you to everyone who prayed 🙏, gave ❤️, shared 📲, and encouraged us along the way. Your kindness and generosity mean more than you know to the boys and to our family.

God is so good!

🙌 Praise the Lord Update! 📣
🕒 Update as of 2/15/2026 at 3:42 PM

So far, 💲2,915 has come in for the refrigerator need at Shining Light School for Boys.

We are so thankful. This will be enough to purchase a new refrigerator for the boys and replace the food that was lost 🥦🥛🍎. It will also allow us to put some money toward the 💲2,000 we still owe on the busted refrigerator that fell off the truck, which we are still responsible for. 😔

If any additional funds come in, they will go directly toward paying off that damaged refrigerator in full.

God’s people truly are the best people ❤️ Thank you for standing with us and caring for these young men.

🙏 PRAISE REPORT UPDATE 🙏
Update as of 2/15/2026 at 9:15 AM

In just a little over three hours, $2,515 has been raised. We praise the Lord for His goodness and for God’s people. We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude.

This should be enough to cover a new refrigerator and replace the food that was lost. Thank you for stepping in so quickly to help the boys at Shining Light School for Boys.

However, we still owe $2,000 for the refrigerator that was damaged when it fell off the truck. If any additional funds come in, they will go directly toward paying off that remaining balance.

God’s people truly are the best people. Thank you for loving these young men and standing with us during this unexpected need.

God’s people are the best people.

Thank you so much for giving to help meet this special need at Shining Light School for Boys. So far, $2,200 has been donated, and we are only $300 away from our goal for a new refrigerator for the boys.

If any extra comes in, it will go toward replacing the lost food and to help pay the $2,000 we still owe on the damaged refrigerator that fell off the truck and is sitting on our back porch.

We are truly grateful for your prayers and generosity.

An Urgent Need at Shining Light School for Boys

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are facing an unexpected and urgent situation at the boys’ home.

The refrigerator that had faithfully served us for over 10 years suddenly stopped working. After prayer and careful consideration, we purchased a brand new refrigerator from Lowe’s. It was originally $2,500, but we were able to purchase it on sale for $2,000. We also purchased the Lowe’s protection plan for added coverage.

On the drive home, something happened that we never imagined. A securing strap unexpectedly came loose, and the refrigerator fell from the back of the truck onto Highway 85. It tumbled and slid down the roadway before finally coming to rest on the side of the road.

By the grace of God, no one was hurt. We are incredibly thankful that no vehicles were involved and no injuries occurred. It could have been much worse.

However, the refrigerator sustained significant internal damage and is not usable.

We have contacted:
• Lowe’s Hardware
• Lowe’s Protection Plan
• Samsung (the manufacturer)

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the accident, none of them are able to assist. We were told we would need to purchase another refrigerator.

The reality is this:
• Our old refrigerator is gone
• The new $2,000 refrigerator is unusable
• We lost the food that was inside when the old one failed
• We currently have no refrigerator at all for the boys’ home

With multiple teenage boys living here, refrigeration is not optional. It is essential for daily meals and caring for the young men in our home.

We are humbly asking for help to raise $2,500 to replace the refrigerator, along with assistance to restock the food that was lost.

If you are able to give, any amount would be a tremendous blessing. If you are not able to give, we sincerely ask for your prayers during this unexpected trial.

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2

With gratitude,

❄️ Snow day fun with the boys! ⛄️

They enjoyed the winter weather and worked together to build a 7-foot-tall snowman. Days like this are about laughter, teamwork, and making memories these boys will carry with them for a lifetime. We’re thankful to the Lord for moments like these and the opportunity to invest in their lives. ❤️

I am still overwhelmed and deeply grateful.

My family and friends surprised me with a celebration marking 25 years of faithful service in full-time ministry, a journey that the Lord began in January of 2001. I honestly don’t have words big enough to express what this meant to me.

Thank you to everyone who planned, prayed, gave, showed up, and poured love into this night. Every detail reflected kindness, sacrifice, and genuine care. Ministry is never done alone, and this reminded me how blessed I am to be surrounded by people who stand with us, support us, and believe in the work God has called us to do.

Even when the power briefly went out in the middle of Curtis’s speech, the evening didn’t stop. The room was still filled with light from all the lighthouses on the tables. It felt symbolic, almost like Shining Light was still shining the way for all of us, a reminder that when God is in it, no darkness can truly stop the light.

Above all, I give glory to the Lord. Any fruit from these past 25 years is His doing, His strength, and His grace. I’m thankful for where He’s brought us from, and I’m excited and trusting Him for what lies ahead.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. This night will always be a treasured memory.
