Lexcog Youth

Lexcog Youth We are a youth group affiliated with Lexington Church of God! We are dedicated to learning the heart of Jesus and learning how to be a better disciple

03/03/2022

From Pastor Mark: The Holy Spirit has truly been stirring both in the services & in the hearts of the people at LCOG & we are excited with anticipation. We are pressing in through prayer as never before and we are excited to launch a 24hr intercessory prayer ministry.
2 Cor 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
Prayer is a Mighty Weapon!
We are looking for prayer partners, who will take a designated 1 hour prayer shift to pray, from home, for the church, leadership, community, the lost, and intercede for the specific needs of the people.
We know that there are some who are unable to attend service due to health reasons but still want to serve & this is a wonderful way to serve.
We currently have several specific time slots that we are needing to fill.

for our first wednesday bible study of the year, isaak spoke about being a person of integrity.

we looked at 1 Peter 3:13-18, “Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong! Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.”

The Gospel will make people feel convicted, not because we belittle them, but because God will reveal to them the truth through our obedience of sharing His message. It is important for us to walk in integrity as believers so we can reach people through authenticity.

join us next wednesday at 7 for our next topic!

Is God tugging on your heart to be baptized? Then be sure to sign up online or let a member of our NEW sign-up team help you. All are encouraged to come out and celebrate this special day. We will be having a fellowship meal in conjunction with this event. The church will provide hamburgers/hot dogs and we ask that you bring a side dish/dessert and a drink to share.
