✝️ Sunday Morning Recap ✝️

This week was Forge City's two-year anniversary and it was a beautiful time with the Lord reflecting on all that God has done in the past two years and how our lives have been forever changed! Pastor Bryant continued in the "Jesus the" series and this week was Jesus the Faithful.

He spoke about how while it is great to reflect on what God has done, it would have been a disservice to not also look forward at what He is calling us to! Pastor Bryant read a letter to the church about how we must contend for the faith as we see in the book of Jude. The reality is though that we will only contend for the faith if Jesus is our first love!

➡️ Is Jesus your first love? Are you truly contending for the faith in all the ways Jesus has led you to?

➡️ Join us Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM at Liberty Elementary School right in the heart of Hamburg and become part of what God is doing here. 🕊️

✝️ Sunday Morning Recap ✝️

This Sunday Pastor Bryant continued in the series called "Jesus the.." and this week was Jesus the Cost. He spoke about how at some point in our lives we learn the lesson of cost. There are things in this life that take hard work and discipline, and truly following Jesus takes just that!

In scripture we see that there is a cost to be paid to follow Jesus! Paul speaks in scripture about how he lost everything, considering it garbage, to gain Christ and be one with Him. We cannot be a people who have one foot in the world and one foot in following Jesus. We must be willing to pay the cost of denying self, picking up our cross, and advancing the Kingdom of God instead of our own agenda.

Do you wake up every morning saying, let your will be done today Father? Do you ask Him to use you how He wants to use you? Do you ask Him to reveal the things of our hearts that He would have us be rid of?

✝️ Sunday Morning Recap ✝️

This week, Forge had the honor of hosting Chelsea Applegate as a guest speaker and she dove into Jesus the Holy. It was a message greatly needed as holy and pure living has taken a back seat today. The reverence and fear of God are at an all-time low and we are taking in things that our eyes and ears were never meant to see or hear. When we surround ourselves with impurity and unholiness, that's what will bleed out of our hearts.

As we examined scripture, we saw that we must be willing and yielded in obedience to crucify our flesh alongside our beloved King Jesus! But our flesh doesn't resurrect! God didn't send His only Son to become the ultimate sacrifice just so we can continue in our sin! He wants us holy, just as He is holy! He wants to take us back to Eden, before sin entered into the world! Our hearts and minds are like Eden: we can either defile them, or keep them pure and holy. Which one do you choose?

What kind of content do you take in? What kind of Music are you listening to? What kind of movies and shows are you watching? Is it pure and holy and pleasing to God?
