Greetings Lane Chapel CME Church:
All thanks is given to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for uniting us this 2021-22 conference year. As we begin to reinvent church procedures in this pandemic, I am reminded that no matter where we find ourselves during challenging times, God promised to never leave us nor forsake us. When we embrace in His Word there is reassurance in knowing we have reached this point in our lives only because of our faith. As we face what is to come in the months ahead, we do so knowing that too much is given much is required.
I am excited to serve as your pastor and trust in God’s guidance in leading me in this journey and direct us in the path he wants us to follow. Psalm 34:8 says, “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusted in him.” As children of God we acknowledge that we would not be where we are if it were not for his grace and mercy. We need to be the voice of a world that struggles to understand what and why things are happening. We need to be the voice of a community that strives to find a way out of no way. We need to be the voice of His church that calls to the believers to “prepare the way for the coming of Christ the Lord.” We are stronger when we work together in order to do God’s will by showing respect, kindness, forgiveness, and love as taught by Jesus Christ.
