Today we studied Psalm 32 to remind us that confession is good for our relationship with God. Confession of sin fosters a joyous relationship with god because

1) it brings forgiveness (vv. 1-2)
2) it brings relief (vv. 3-7)
3) it brings guidance (vv. 8-11)

If we can come to God & confess our sin, we can find forgiveness, relief, and joy with God.

Do not hold on to your sins. Let them go through confession. If you need help or guidance with confession, reach out to our women’s ministry team.

Everyone enjoyed our Crafts & Coffee event. What an amazing way to connect with the women in our ministry. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to teach a craft and to the Women’s Ministry Team for organizing the event.

Suffering can pile up and make things seem worse but, in 2 Corinthians, Paul encourages us to remain steadfast during hard times.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:18

Last Sunday we learned about 3 of God’s purposes for sickness;

1) He may use sickness to bring glory to himself.

2) He may use sickness to discipline sin.

3) He may use sickness to prove or test our faith.

Join us tomorrow as we continue to discover God’s purposes for sickness.

Today we learned about God’s purposes for Prayer. Prayer allows us to have fellowship with God, to worship God, to petition God, to confess our sins to God, and to mature spiritally.

If you neglect prayer, you’re neglecting your relationship with God. Speak to him daily.

ACTION: This week, plan 10-15 minutes each day for prayer.

Today we were reminded of three things:

God rules in times of suffering (Job 42:2)
He is all-powerful, all-knowing and almighty. God is always in control.

God understands in times of suffering (Job 42: 3-4)
We may never be able to understand or see the big picture but we can trust in the one who knows.

God refines in times of suffering (Job 42: 5-6)
Suffering can allow us to know God at a higher level. He can use suffering to grow us and transform our hearts.

CHALLENGE: Commit Job 42:2 to memory.
