Monday Blessing 💙

As we begin a new week, may we remember that wherever the days ahead take us, we walk in the presence of God.

Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

— A Collect for Guidance, Book of Common Prayer, P. 100

Wishing you a beautiful week. 💙

Welcome to Morning Prayer Monday, September 14th, 2026.

Many voices. One prayer. One church family. 🩵

Every Sunday, we come together from different places, different generations, and different walks of life—and we pray the same words Jesus taught us:

Our Father, who art in heaven…

There’s something beautiful about hearing these familiar words spoken by the people who make Annunciation home.

This is who we are: a community gathered in faith, joined in prayer, and growing together in the love of God and neighbor.

There’s a place for your voice here, too. 🙏

A little behind the scenes at Annunciation… 💙

This morning, our Children’s Chapel and Sunday School volunteers gathered with our Children’s Minister, Beth Orr Parker, to plan for the season ahead—and this is one of those little moments that reminds us what makes a church feel like home.

It’s people showing up. Sharing ideas. Giving their time. Loving our children. Helping create a place where they can laugh, learn, ask questions, grow in faith, and know they belong.

We’re so grateful for the many people who pour a little bit of themselves into this church family each week. Annunciation wouldn’t be Annunciation without you.

And if you’ve been wondering where you might fit in, there’s a place for you here. 💙

Today, on Patriot Day, we remember the lives lost on September 11th, honor the courage and sacrifice shown that day, and give thanks for the first responders who continue to serve our communities.

In recognition of Patriot Day, our Annunciation family recently delivered boxes filled with goodies and gratitude to local first responders—a small way to simply say thank you. 💙

As we remember and give thanks, we pray:

Heavenly Father, bless those who serve our community. Give them courage in times of danger, wisdom in moments of uncertainty, and compassion for those they are called to serve. Guard their families and all who love and wait for their safe return home. And make us, O Lord, instruments of your peace. Amen.

May we remember with grateful hearts and continue to love and serve our neighbors. 💙

Prefer the back row? We get it. 💙

Walking into a new church can feel a little intimidating. Coming back after you’ve been away for a while can feel like a lot, too. Even trying a different service than the one you usually attend can feel a little unfamiliar.

Maybe you’re wondering where to sit, when to stand, what to say—or whether anyone will notice if you slip quietly into the back.

That’s okay.

Sit in the back. Sit on the aisle. Follow along when you’re ready. Come with questions. Come exactly as you are.

We’re simply glad you came. 💙
