🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (HEBREWS 11:6).*_

*Smith Wigglesworth, a British evangelist who was influential in the early days of Pentecostalism due to his faith ministry, visited a family that had lost a five-year-old boy. Tears ran down his face on getting there and he asked everyone to leave the room. Alone with the dead body, Wigglesworth rebuked the spirit of death in the name of Jesus and the boy returned to life. His faith was unshakable; it is said that this man of God raised 14 people from the dead by demonstrating faith in the Lord Jesus.*

*Faith is defined in the text as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Great things have happened in the history of the world because men of like passions demonstrated their faith in God. Faith is not limited to believing that God can do anything but knowing who God is. We are reminded in this passage that it will be impossible for anyone who does not have faith to please God. Those who draw close to Him must believe in who He is and that He rewards faithfulness, diligence and loyalty.*

*Our faith is demonstrated in the way we live and by the things we do. If we believe that God truly is and sees all that we do, we will not want to do any evil in secret with the mind that no one is watching. We will not hesitate in giving God our very best and serving Him with all we have because we believe He rewards all who diligently seek and serve Him. This is the kind of faith that helps us to please God at all times.*

*It is indeed appalling to see people who claim to have faith in God still go to questionable places to seek help. If we believe the Lord with all our hearts and seek to please Him always, He will always rise to help us in our hour of need.*

*UNFAILING HELP FROM ABOVE*

*TEXT:*
PSALM 5:8-12 (KJV)

"8. Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

9. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

10. Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

11. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

12. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield."

KEY VERSE:

*THE MESSAGE:*

Saving Private Ryan is a 1998 American epic war film story of Captain John Miller’s risky mission to save one man from the war after his three brothers were killed in the battle (WW2 of 1939-45).

Though entirely fictional, this film demonstrated the unbreakable battlefield contract: _*“We will leave no one, dead or alive, in the hands of the enemy”.*_ The fear of being left alone without help is one of the worst human feelings that has fuelled su***de and other life-ending acts.

Better than the army in any nation, God’s mercy and faithfulness will rescue believers from any battle any day. This comforting realisation should always make believers rejoice in the Lord while having the assurance that He will never abandon them. We should rest assured of His protection and rejoice under same.

Our Help is ever-present and unfailing. No true believer in Christ should doubt or fear whether God will come to his aid in challenging times. It is a covenant that God cannot break. He is an ever-present Help in trouble. He is dependable and available with supreme power to deliver His own from any captivity, irrespective of the enemies’ stronghold.

Earthly help is limited; but the help from above is limitless and superior to whatever earthlings can muster.

Depending on earthly assistance is a forlorn hope. It is undependable. Only the sure help from the Omnipotent is worth boasting about. In these last days, as evil men wax worse in wickedness and unfaithfulness, children of God should resolve like the psalmist: _*“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help”*_ (Psalm 121:1).

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:*

Neither the size of your problem nor the potency of your foes counts when God is with you.

Yesterday's outreach was truly remarkable as we witnessed incredible successes and heartwarming moments.

It's amazing to see how the message of the Bible verse "He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" was fulfilled right before our eyes.

The impact made with the help of the Holy Spirit on the lives of those we reached out to is beyond words. We will continue spreading love, hope, and good news of our Lord Jesus Christ together!
