EASTER GLANCE: "What is truth?"

Jesus’ silence before Pilate as we approach Easter (Jn. 18:38) is stunning. We'll look at it tomorrow.

The cynical little enforcer dares to ask Jesus, “What is truth?”. Jesus doesn’t even bother answering. I like that.

Rather he just stares at Pilate, daring him to make the next move. You know how the story goes.

With the exception of a few, it is only after the resurrection that the full reality begins to dawn on mankind, and for many...the full impact of what Jesus did...hasn't clicked, not yet.

Jesus, in his visit to planet Earth exemplified genuine love, humility, obedience, compassion, focus, wisdom, purpose...and more descriptives you can think of, I'm sure.

And the incredible thing is, Jesus has kept right on at it—for 2000 years. Expressing his love, presence and promises to all who truly believe,

"Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life." (Jn. 3:16)

So...as we consider Pilate's question of Jesus, and "celebrate" Easter once again...let me ask you, when Easter 2022 is in the rearview mirror, how will your "life" answer that question,

"What is truth?"...Your answer means everything.
