God has never promised a life without change, but He has promised to never leave us through it.

"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you." — Deuteronomy 31:8

As we embrace a new season, we do so with confidence that God is guiding every step.

One of the most powerful reminders from this week's sermon: our goal isn't simply to get people into our church—it's to help people grow closer to Jesus.

May we continue looking for opportunities to serve, encourage, and point others toward Christ wherever they are on their journey.

Worry steals today's joy by making us focus on tomorrow's fears.

Jesus reminds us: "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." (Matthew 6:34)

Let's choose prayer over worry, faith over fear, and trust over uncertainty. God is already ahead of us on the path.

What if the changes we're facing today are actually part of God's preparation for tomorrow?

This Sunday's message encouraged us to stop focusing on "what if" and start focusing on "what's next." God has a history of working through uncertainty to accomplish His purposes, and He is still doing that today.

Change can be uncomfortable, especially when it arrives unexpectedly. This week's message reminded us that while our plans may change, God's character never does. He remains faithful, loving, and present through every transition. As we look ahead with gratitude and hope, we trust that God is already preparing the way. ❤️🙏

Devotional: The Breath and Fire of the Holy Spirit

Scripture:

Gospel of John 20:19–23
Acts of the Apostles 2:1–12

In John 20:19–23, the disciples are gathered behind locked doors, fearful and uncertain after the crucifixion of Jesus. Into that fear, Jesus suddenly appears and speaks peace: “Peace be with you.” Then He breathes on them and says, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

In Acts 2:1–12, we see the fulfillment and overflowing power of that promise. The disciples are again gathered together, but this time heaven invades the room with the sound of rushing wind and tongues of fire. Fear is replaced with boldness. Silence becomes proclamation. Ordinary people become witnesses empowered by God’s Spirit.

These two passages beautifully connect the quiet breath of Jesus with the mighty wind of Pentecost. In John, the Spirit is given personally and intimately. In Acts, the Spirit is poured out publicly and powerfully. Together they reveal that God’s Spirit brings both inner peace and outward purpose.

Reflection

Many believers live somewhere between these two rooms. Sometimes we are behind locked doors, burdened by anxiety, disappointment, or uncertainty. Other times God calls us into boldness—to speak, serve, love, and witness beyond our comfort zones.

Jesus meets us in both places.

The same Spirit that comforted the disciples also empowered them. God does not simply calm our fears; He transforms us into people who carry His presence into the world. The Spirit fills us not only for personal encouragement but for mission, unity, and testimony.

Pentecost also reminds us that the gospel is for everyone. The crowd heard the disciples speaking in many languages, symbolizing that God’s love crosses every boundary of nation, culture, and background. The Holy Spirit unites diverse people into one family under Christ.

Practical Application
Invite God into the “locked rooms” of your life where fear still controls you.
Ask the Holy Spirit to give you courage to speak truth and love boldly.
Look for opportunities to encourage, pray for, or serve others this week.
Remember that God can use ordinary people in extraordinary ways when they are filled with His Spirit.
Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for bringing peace into fearful hearts. Breathe Your Spirit into me again today. Remove fear, doubt, and hesitation, and fill me with courage and love. Help me become a witness of Your grace in my words and actions. May Your Spirit guide me, empower me, and draw others closer to You. Amen.

📖 Devotional: “Clothed in Trust, Not Worry”

Life gives us plenty of reasons to worry—how we look, how things will turn out, whether we’ll have enough, or if we’ll make it through what’s ahead. Worry shows up in big moments like health struggles and in small ones like daily frustrations. It creeps in quietly, but it can take over quickly.

In Matthew 6, Jesus points us to something simple yet powerful: look at the lilies of the field. They don’t strive or stress, yet God provides for them beautifully. If God cares for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, how much more does He care for us?

Still, trusting isn’t always easy.

There are moments when fear feels louder than faith—waiting for test results, facing uncertainty, or just trying to get through a difficult day. In those moments, prayer becomes more than a habit; it becomes a lifeline. Sometimes the prayer is polished and शांत. Other times it’s whispered through exhaustion or spoken in the middle of struggle. Either way, God hears.

Jesus doesn’t say life will be free of trouble. In fact, He reminds us that each day has enough trouble of its own. But He also gives us a way to live without being consumed by worry:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)

When we shift our focus—from what we can’t control to the God who is in control—something changes. The circumstances may not disappear, but the weight of them does.

Worry asks, “What if everything goes wrong?”
Faith answers, “God is already there.”

Today, instead of putting on anxiety, choose to clothe yourself with what truly matters: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience—and trust.

God is not distant. He is present. He is faithful. And He will provide what you need for today.

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Help me to trust You more than I trust my worries. When anxiety rises, remind me that You are already ahead of me. Teach me to seek Your kingdom first and to rest in Your care. Clothe me with Your peace today.
Amen.
