Freedom Fest 2024, as it has every year of its history, exceeded all expectations.
Beautiful children laughed and played.
Sincere worshipers praised and prayed. Grateful citizens rejoiced and sang.
Absolutely everyone sweltered and sweated.
And Almighty God moved and blessed.
We owe a special debt of gratitude to all of the following groups and individuals whose God-given talents and inexhaustible commitment helped make the night so, so good.
(1) Stacey David, host of GearzTV, for speaking and for bringing his custom-built military tribute vehicle (Sgt. Rock) with him
(2) Will Luttrell and the staff of East Commerce Automotive, for delivering and returning Sgt. Rock safely and securely
(3) Anna Pearson, musician and songwriter, for filling Rock Creek Park with the sweet sounds of worship and praise
(4) Koley Borah, Brandie Liggett, and Faith Young, who delighted children by painting their faces
(5) Farmington Baptist Church and East Commerce Baptist Church, who created and ran our Firecracker Alley games with joy
(6) Other Firecracker Alley volunteers who showed extraordinary patience while attending to the children in the bounce houses
(7) Destiny Church - Lewisburg, who generously provided 1400 FREE bottles of water to thirsty attendees on a searingly hot day
(8) Lewisburg First Assembly, who allowed us to use their large TVs and their box truck
(9) Our Tuesday prep and cleanup crew, who made Rock Creek Park (especially the stage area) sparkle and shine
(10) The SWISH homeschool group and EPIC Student Ministries , who handled trash and cleanup duties during and after the event
(11) The Lewisburg Fire Department and Lewisburg Police Department, whose presence reassured hearts and quite possibly saved lives
(12) Shelbyville Record Shop, whose sound system and expertise sent the sound of Freedom Fest deep into our city
(13) Dylan Giddens, who provided critical lighting for our stage
(14) Volunteers in our medical tent and prayer tent, who served others compassionately and confidentially
(15) Blood Assurance, whose bloodmobile collected enough blood to save 45 lives
(16) Our multi-church Freedom Fest worship band, who led us with passion and sincerity
(17) Finally, Bill Taylor and Brittany Cox and their fireworks crew, who lit up the night sky with a brilliant show
Thanks and praise to God for you all!
