We as humans are drawn to water.
The ocean, the lake, the river. Whether it be the sand between your toes, the salt on your skin, or the refreshing breeze in your face. From the little trickle of a gentle stream to the crashing waves of the sea. We find peace & comfort, even solace near water. Generation after generation of lives have been sustained from it.
There is great power in water. Storms, hurricanes, tsunamis, and floods can be devastating, evenly deadly to those in their path.
In John 4, Jesus offered the woman at the well living water, salvation in spite of her past. She was so affected by this encounter that she abandoned her waterpot to go tell others about Jesus.
We need to be excited to tell others about our encounter with Jesus. We need to abandon our waterpots and focus on the living water.

We welcome you tomorrow if you are looking for a place to come and thank the Lord for all he has done for you. We would love to worship with you. Come on to Sunday school at 10:00 and learn about Gods word and then at 11:00 we will sing and praise the Lord. Then we will open his word and receive the message he has for us. John 3:16
You could probably spit this verse verbatim when you were 9. It's so familiar in fact, to us as Christians, we probably don't really study it. We know it forward and backward.
In John 3, Jesus was talking to Nicodemus. Nicodemus was a high ranking Pharisee who had come in secret to ask Jesus about his miracles. Jesus immediately shifted the conversation from the physical side to the spiritual change that must take place in our hearts to have salvation. No doubt Nicodemus was amazed by Jesus healing the physically blind in the streets, but had came to him spiritually blind and in need of a savior.
It's easy for us to get caught up in our own lives. What's going on right in front of us. We can become numb with distractions or blind to the bigger picture. Carve out some time to spend in the word today.
Just know that God loves us so much that he literally gave a part of himself so that we could have an escape from this sinful world.
Hence John 3:16.

What if God meted out grace, the way we do?
We are quick to judge, slow to forgive, & never do we forget.
Let's be thankful for the mercy and grace that God pours out on us. Not doling it out like he is afraid of running out, but heaping up blessings and forgiveness for us undeserved.
Let's pray that God would soften our hearts that we could extend grace to others more like Jesus does.
We would love for you to come worship with us tomorrow. Consider this a formal invitation to come and sit with us and hear the word of God.
Jesus loves you!

This is absolutely amazing. We know the power that the word of God holds. If you are looking for a way to help describe the authenticity and complexity of the bible to a skeptic or an unbeliever though, then see this. 🤯

I had the best intentions of taking tons of pictures of all those that prayed over Jay, hugged him or shook his hand. With all that was going on that just didn't happen.
It was a just a wonderful day to be in God's house. A special thank you goes out to Mt. Olivet church for hosting. Also, to the ordained men for their part in this.
I pray all of you seeing this will continue to pray for Jay and his family, his ministry, and our church. I pray this fire continues to spread. Jesus Loves You and God bless!

Just a reminder that tomorrow Aug 16th Mt. Olivet Church will be hosting an ordination service for Bro Jay Skipworth at 3 pm. We look forward to this special service for bro Jay. For those that wish they could come, but are unable for whatever reason, we plan to do a FB Live from the Rock Springs page.

Jay and celebrate this special time. Please be in prayer for Jay and his family this week as they prepare to take the next step in his ministry.
